摘要： A resin composition comprising a polyphenylene ether having, on the average, 0.01 to 10 terminal structures of the formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.5 are each hydrogen, halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, R.sub.6 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group, and R.sub.7 to R.sub.11 are each hydrogen, halogen, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a phenyl group, a phenoxy group, a nitro group or a cyano group per 100 phenylene ether units, and a primary aliphatic monoamine having an aromatic substituent, which composition has good thermal stability.

摘要： A modified polyphenylene ether comprising repeating units of the formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are, independently from each other, a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and having a number average polymerization degree of 20 to 12,000, in which 0.02/X to 1/X of methyl groups at the 2- and/or 6-positions of phenylene group are substituted by an aminomethyl group wherein X is a number average polymerization degree, a process for preparing the same, and a thermoplastic resin composition containing (A) 1 to 75% by weight of the above modified polyphenylene ether and (B) 99 to 25% by weight of a liquid crystalline polyester.Since this modified polyphenylene ether includes a highly reactive primary amine on the polymer side chain, it is preferably used in a wide range as a component of various compositions or polymer alloys. The thermoplastic resin composition is excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties and appearance and gloss of a molded article.

摘要： A diffuser apparatus which has fine pores is capable of achieving a high oxygen transfer efficiency and rarely becoming clogged so that the apparatus can be operated stably over a prolonged period. The diffuser apparatus includes: an aeration plate that is disposed in an aeration tank in order to release pressurized air, fed from a diffusing air feed pipe, as air bubbles from fine pores formed in an aeration plate surface; blow water feeder for feeding blow water into the diffusing air feed pipe; and an inserted pipe for discharging the blow water, fed into the diffusing air feed pipe, from the aeration plate.
