    摘要: Apparatus for use during open system diving to support underwater human respiration. In accordance with various embodiments, an open system breathing apparatus to support underwater human respiration includes a stage-2 regulator configured to supply air from an air source to an underwater diver, and a bubble diffuser adapted to receive exhaust air from the air/water separator. The bubble diffuser has an enclosed housing with a sidewall having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough and a plurality of external discharge tubes respectively coupled to the plurality of apertures and extending away from the sidewall to maintain bubble separation as the exhaust air exits the housing through the external discharge tubes as an array of bubbles into the surrounding water.

    摘要: An apparatus comprises a distribution conduit, a diffuser body, and an insert. The distribution conduit defines an aperture. The diffuser body defines a mating tube, at least a portion of the mating tube passing through the aperture, and the mating tube defining a mating tube passage therethrough with an inside sidewall. The insert is at least partially disposed in the mating tube passage and presses against the inside sidewall so as to cause the mating tube to expand. Removal of the mating tube from the distribution conduit is thereby inhibited.

    摘要: The Quick Connect Diffuser Assembly of the present invention includes a special saddle in fluid communication with an air distribution header pipe and a diffuser body connected to the special saddle. The saddle is connected to the air distribution header pipe with a two interlocking sections joined on one side with a hinge, and on the other with flanges. The flanges are connected with a wedge piece. The diffuser connects to the upper saddle section with a bayonet type Quick connection.     摘要: The diffuser assembly of the present invention includes first and second diffuser bodies in fluid communication with an air distribution pipe. The diffuser assembly further includes a saddle that supports the first diffuser body and the second diffuser body. The saddle is connected to the distribution pipe by a hollow core rivet. Gas is forced from the distribution pipe through the hollow core rivet where the gas passes into the first and second diffuser bodies. The gas exits the first diffuser body through a first diffusion media and exits the second diffuser body through a second diffusion media. The first and second diffusion media form the gas into fine bubbles that serve to facilitate aeration of a fluid.
