    摘要: Disclosed herein is a liquid crystalline resin compound which includes about 100 pbw of liquid crystalline resin and about 5-200 pbw of inorganic filler, the liquid crystalline resin being composed of about 99.5-50 wt % of partially aromatic liquid crystalline polyester resin and about 0.5-50 wt % of wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester resin, and the inorganic filler having an average aspect ratio in the range of 3 to 25. Also disclosed is a molded article of liquid crystalline resin obtained by molding from the liquid crystalline resin compound. The resin compound is superior in flowability and the molded article has good mechanical properties, especially balanced rigidity and toughness.

    摘要: A liquid crystalline resin which comprises at least one kind of liquid crystalline polymer selected from liquid crystalline polyester and liquid crystalline polyester amide, both forming an anisotropic molten phase, and an inorganic phosphorus compound, said liquid crystalline resin having an absorbance of 0.5 or less at 380 nm when measured over an optical path length of 10 mm in a 0.5 wt % solution in a 1:1 mixed solvent of pentafluorophenol and chloroform (by weight). It is useful as engineering plastics because of improved color, heat resistance, and hydrolytic resistance.

    摘要: A wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester contains 2.0 to 15.0 mole percent of a hydroquinone-derived structural unit relative to a total amount of structural units. The wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester has sum of an amount (a) of terminal hydroxyl group and an amount (b) of terminal acetyl group in a range of 50 to 350 equivalents/(g·10−6), and has a ratio [(a)+(b)]/(c) of the sum of the amount (a) of terminal hydroxyl group and the amount (b) of terminal acetyl group to an amount (c) of terminal carboxyl group in a range of 1.05 to 2.00.
