    摘要： An objective of this invention is to provide a DC circuit breaking device having functions for transmitting direct currents to an electric power system and interrupting direct currents to the electric power system under abnormal conditions such as grounding and short-circuits, where the DC circuit breaking device can minimize the capacity of a condenser for the commuting circuit while rapidly changing the arc voltage to cause arc currents to be quickly extended and vibrated in order to interrupt direct currents in a short arc time. This DC circuit breaking device includes a main DC circuit breaker for interrupting the transmission of direct currents to an electric power system and a DC circuit breaker that is connected in series to the main DC circuit breaker and which is smaller than the main DC circuit breaker. The circuit breaking device also includes a commutation circuit that is connected in parallel to the DC circuit breaker and the small DC circuit breaker which are connected together in series and which is constituted by a reactor and a condenser. The circuit breaking device also includes a surge absorber for absorbing a surged voltage applied to for the condenser.

    摘要： A cleaning unit includes a cleaner. The cleaner includes: a support member; a toner scraping member; and a toner storing mechanism. The toner storing mechanism includes: a toner catching member provided in a vicinity of a leading end of the toner scraping member so as to catch the toner scraped off; and a swingably supporting mechanism which supports swingably the toner catching member with a middle portion of the toner catching member as a swing fulcrum. A free end portion of the toner catching member protruding from the toner scraping member in the moving direction is a storage moving portion which moves based on an amount of the stored toner, and a portion opposite to the free end portion with respect to the swing fulcrum is a press portion which presses the toner scraping member toward the cleaned member based on a moving amount of the storage moving portion.

In an end face polishing apparatus polishing a rod-shaped member mounted at a polishing fixture by pressing the rod-shaped member against a lapping member on a lapping machine provided on a surface plate that is supported at the main body of the apparatus to rotate and rock, there are a plurality of rod-shaped guide members provided at the polishing fixture radially outwardly projecting and a tubular member capable of supporting the polishing fixture through the guide members on the surface plate. In this way, the guide members at the polishing fixture and the tubular member abut against each other so that the movement of the polishing fixture in the pressing direction is restricted.

    摘要： A calibration pattern unit which obtains correction information of an imaging system by imaging at the imaging system is formed by combining a plurality of three-dimensionally arranged planes. The calibration pattern unit comprises supporting members each of which has a predetermined surface corresponding to one of the planes, and a calibration pattern in which a predetermined pattern is formed on the predetermined surface of the supporting member. The supporting member can selectively set the calibration pattern unit to a first form for photographing when the correction information is obtained, and a second form for other purposes.

    摘要： An image forming apparatus for reproducing an image corresponding to a digitized image signal includes; an imaging member; a halftone image forming device for reproducing a latent image composed of a plurality of pixels on the imaging member, and for developing the latent image so that coloring particles are adhered in each pixel being put together as an island, the halftone image including a relatively low density halftone image; and a transfixing device for simultaneously transferring the halftone image and fixing the halftone image onto a recording sheet. The image forming apparatus may further includes an intermediate transfer medium. The island-like toner image reproduces the halftone image clearly.
