    摘要: A knock control device of an internal combustion engine incorporated with a device for controlling the spark timing and the fuel injection.The device for controlling the spark timing and the fuel injection comprises an electronic control unit. A knock sensor is mounted on the cylinder block for sensing knocking. When the output of the knock sensor is above a first predetermined level, retardation of spark timing is caused. When the output of the knock sensor is above a second level above the first level, retardation of spark timing is caused and the amount of fuel to be injected is increased.

    摘要: An upper support for a radiator wherein a body bracket and a radiator bracket are joined together by means of a rubber member which has at least one rubber prop on each side of a vertical bracket axis and has a cavity defined between the right and left rubber props. In the state before radiator assembly and also in the assembled state, the rubber props are inclined upwardly in a direction from the body bracket toward the radiator bracket. In this structure of the radiator upper support, a tensile force always works on the rubber props and accordingly there is no wide fluctuation in the dynamic spring constant. Thus the range of the cavity dimensions which effectively contribute to suppression of idle vibration and internal car noise can be so enlarged that, when there are large tolerances in radiator assembly, the dynamic spring constant of the vibrational system involved can remain in the effective range of the dynamic spring constants for suppression of the vibration, thereby minimizing the idle vibration and the internal car noise.

The exhaust gas recirculation system further has an atmospheric pressure introduction valve communicated with a vacuum passage through which the first flow-rate control valve is communicated with the pressure regulating valve and adapted to selectively introduce the atmospheric pressure into the vacuum passage in accordance with the level of the vacuum established in the intake manifold of the engine.

    摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine has an exhaust gas recirculation passage, a constant pressure chamber disposed in the exhaust gas recirculation passage, a pressure regulating valve operative in response to the exhaust gas pressure in the constant pressure chamber, a first flow-rate control valve adapted to be actuated by the vacuum regulated by the pressure regulating valve so as to open and close the exhaust gas recirculating passage and a second flow-rate control valve disposed at the upstream side of the constant pressure chamber and adapted to change the cross-sectional area of the exhaust gas recirculating passage in response to the vacuum generated by the internal combustion engine. The exhaust gas recirculation system further has an atmospheric-pressure introduction passage attached to the constant pressure chamber or disposed in a pressure transmitting passage through which the constant pressure chamber is communicated with the pressure regulating valve. The atmospheric-pressure introduction valve is adapted to open in response to an increase of the level of the vacuum in the constant pressure chamber or in the pressure transmitting passage, so as to selectively introduce the atmospheric pressure.

The system has a passage providing a communication between the compressor outlet of the supercharger and an exhaust by-pass valve actuator, the passage being communicated at its other end with the compressor inlet of the supercharger. A variable orifice valve is disposed at an intermediate portion of the passage opening to the exhaust by-pass valve actuator and the compressor inlet. Control means is provided to control the opening of the variable orifice valve in accordance with the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal of the vehicle or the opening of the throttle valve of the engine.
