The contents receiving apparatus includes receiving unit receiving the data of the contents with the additional information that are transmitted from the transmitting unit, received data decision unit deciding a receiving request range of the contents out of consideration for the additional information, and data request transmitting unit transmitting the data request including request range information.

摘要： A conventional recording and reproducing apparatus cannot move second copyright-protected AV data while moving a first copyright-protected AV content when moving such AV data via a network because the recording and reproducing apparatus issues an exchange key to be used for decrypting the AV data to a single receiving-side recording and reproducing apparatus only.The recording and reproducing apparatus of the present invention generates a new exchange key as a random number and transmits the new exchange key each time an exchange key for use in a move mode is requested; while it always transmits an identical exchange key when a normal exchange key is requested. The recording and reproducing apparatus selects an exchange key to be used according to the address of a recording and reproducing apparatus which is the transmission destination when encrypting an AV content to be transmitted.

摘要： A data transmission apparatus, a data reception apparatus, and a data transfer system prevent a case where same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time and can certainly move data, in MOVE processing of the data between the data transmission apparatus and the data reception apparatus. The data transmission apparatus includes a synchronous control unit synchronizing a timing of (i) deleting or invalidating, in the data transmission apparatus, move-target data and (ii) decrypting, in the data reception apparatus, the move-target data that has been encrypted. With this, it becomes possible to prevent a case where the same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time.

摘要： In reproducing the AV contents, the information concerning the configuration of reproduction block (e.g., GOP) composing the AV contents is needed. In the case of network reproduction, it was requisite that an AV contents reproducing apparatus acquired this information from an AV server. The present invention provides an AV contents reproducing method, an AV server and an AV contents reproducing apparatus in which this information is unnecessary to transmit or receive. The AV contents reproducing apparatus transmits a reproduction start request by specifying the start request position, and the AV server starts to transmit the AV contents from the top position of reproduction block (e.g., GOP) near the start request position.

摘要： The invention provides a communication network system which permits parallel access of a plurality of nodes to a transmission line and which has a high throughput and low delay, with fairness among the nodes maintained. In the communication network system, a plurality of tokens correspondingly associated with the nodes, respectively, are allowed to circulate on the transmission line. Each node is allowed to transmit data only when the frame insertion buffer is empty. The node, when having data to be transmitted, awaits the arrival of a token. If a token that has arrived corresponds to the self node, or if a node corresponding to the arrived token is downstream of the destination node as viewed from the own self node, the node forms a packet from its holding data and transmits it onto the transmission line.
