    摘要: A first illumination section radiates light at a certain degree of illuminance toward the face of a human recognition object from an upper right part or an upper left part of a camera, and a second illumination section radiates light at a certain degree of illuminance toward the face of the human recognition object from a lower part of a camera. The camera photographs and inputs a facial image of the human recognition object. The image processing section extracts a feature value of the face of the human recognition object from a facial image inputted by the camera and collates the feature value extracted with a standard feature value registered in advance so as to recognize a facial image of the human recognition object.

    摘要: A virtual reality data presentation system capable of improving naturalness of the system operation and data presentation. In the system, 3D model is presented according to 3D model data; input data for manipulating objects in the presented 3D model is entered; and a presentation of the 3D model is controlled according to the 3D model data, the entered input data, and control data specifying reactions of the objects in the presented 3D model with respect to the entered input data. In addition, in the system, real object data are obtained from actual objects represented by the objects in the 3D model; and a presentation of the presented 3D model is controlled to selectively present selected ones of the objects in the 3D model in terms of the obtained real object data.

    摘要: In a data filing system, a data input unit converts an input document into an electrical image signal. A data processing unit sequentially performs multi-step image compression processing including a pattern recognition step. The processing unit includes subprocessors which independently execute corresponding image compression processing of higher processing levels. A data storage unit has a hierarchical memory structure, so that, when it receives compression image data of a given image processing level from the processing unit, it can store this data in accordance with its image processing level. A system controller causes, in the document registration mode, the first subprocessor of the data processing unit to execute image compression processing of a first level, and causes the data storage unit to store the resultant compression image data. The system controller causes the remaining subprocessors to intermittently execute the subsequent image compression processing during the idle time of the filing system.
