摘要: Multi-value character (line image) data, characteristic information and half-tone data are stored while the memory is effectively used. Half-tone data is outputted from the attribute separating section 20. Vector pixels or the density data of 5 bits and the characteristic flag of 3 bits are outputted from the resolution converting section 12 and the edge detecting section 13. After a discriminating flag (1 bit) has been added to them by the data mixing section 21, they are formatted in a predetermined manner and stored in the memory M. In this case, both halftone data and vector pixels are stored as raster data of 9 bits. Further, the characteristic flag is stored as a portion of the vector pixels. Accordingly, the memory M is not wasted, and it is not necessary to separately provide a memory exclusively used for the characteristic flag.

摘要: An image processing system assigns weight factors to two respective image signals of the equivalent color space so that the two image signals are combined according to the respective weight factors. For example, two weight factors having a sum of unity are assigned to the respective image signals. Alternatively, two weight factors are assigned independently.

摘要: Control device of an internal combustion engine that determines whether or not to perform sensor element heating control of an air-fuel ratio sensor with high accuracy based on the mass of condensed water in an exhaust pipe. The control device computes the rate of change of condensed water mass in an exhaust pipe based on the saturated water vapor pressure and the water vapor partial pressure of exhaust gas, and computes the rate of change of evaporation mass in the exhaust pipe based on the amount of heat which the condensed water receives in the exhaust pipe. The control device updates the mass of condensed water based on the rate of change of condensed water mass and the rate of change of evaporation mass, and determines whether or not to perform heating control by a heating controlling unit based on the updated mass of condensed water.

摘要: This vehicle travel safety device improves the recognition accuracy of road shapes while preventing an extreme increase in the computation amount required for correction of road data. An inactive determination portion determines that the operating portion is inactive when a safety device does not operate for an estimated curve that is estimated by a curve estimating portion and also deceleration of a predetermined amount or more occurs by a deceleration operation of the driver before entering the estimated curve or while traveling through it, or when a safety device does not operate for an estimated curve that is estimated by a road shape estimating portion and also the vehicle condition of the self-vehicle is not in the proper vehicle condition to be able to properly pass the estimated curve. The data correcting portion changes the road data of the storage portion that is used in the detection of the recognized curve shape that corresponds to this estimated curve so as to facilitate operation of the operating portion at the estimated curve where the operating portion is determined to be inactive by the inactive determination portion, or adds new road data to the storage portion.

摘要: A resistance-applying mechanism is provided in a universal joint, the mechanism causing a resistance load to an oscillating motion of a spider arm to be highest when an oscillation angle (β) is 0° and causing the resistance load to be gradually reduced as the oscillation angle deviates from the angle above. The mechanism suppresses the variation in torque transmitted between an input and an output shaft. Further, using the universal joint in an automobile steering device improves steering feeling. The resistance-applying mechanism is constituted of a cam surface (76) formed on an end surface of a spider arm (311) and an engagement projection (75) formed at a position eccentric from the axis of a cup bottom of a bearing cup and in contact with the cam surface. The resistance-applying mechanism can also be formed by an inner surface of a yoke hole (71) and a top end portion of the spider arm (311), both having a substantially elliptical shape.

摘要: Its an object of the present invention to ensure a contact area between clamping surfaces 10b of a pair of clamping plates 30a and 30b of a yoke 3b, and outside flat surfaces 14 of a shaft 7, to thereby prevent the occurrence of play in a joint section between the shaft 7 and the yoke 3b. If the minimum value for the width of clearances 16a is S (mm), and the angle formed between the clamping surfaces 10b and the outside flat surfaces 14 is θ (°), and the plate thickness of both clamping plates 30a and 30b is t (mm), θ and S are regulated to ensure that θ/S≧−8.5t+67.2 is satisfied when the plate thickness t is within a range of between 5.5 mm and 7.5 mm. As a result, in a condition with both clamping plates 30a and 30b tightened together by a clamping bolt, the clamping surfaces 10b and the outside flat surfaces 14 are in almost complete contact. Therefore the problem can be solved.

摘要: A material 1 to be shaped is reduced and formed by bringing dies with convex forming surfaces, when viewed from the side of the transfer line of the material 1, close to the transfer line from above and below the material 1, in synchronism with each other, while giving the dies a swinging motion in such a manner that the portions of the forming surfaces of the dies, in contact with the material 1, are transferred from the upstream to the downstream side in the direction of the transfer line.
