In a second embodiment, a clutch assembly (101), arcuate engagement plates (140) are fixed to an outer circumferential portion of the flywheel (7). An outer circumferential portion of the clutch cover (142) is engaged in a non-rotatable manner with the arcuate engagement plate (140) and detachably in a direction away from the flywheel (7). Bolts (144) limit the axial movement of the clutch cover (142) away from the arcuate engagement plates (140).

Therefore, the annular piston can be made of plastic material so that the weight and the fabrication cost of the release cylinder assembly may be reduced.
