    摘要: Two support members which are supported swingably to the vehicle body through the medium of the support axis extending in up and down direction are provided at the vehicle body end portions of two left and right suspension arm members connecting left and right rear wheels to the vehicle body. Lever parts are extended from the support members toward the opposing direction to each other and are interconnected by a link member. One of the two support members is driven by one actuator for rotation around an support axis, whereby left and right two suspension arm members move in vehicle widthwise direction, opposite to each other, and in synchronism with each other and thus left and right rear wheels are steered symmetrically in toe-in direction or toe-out direction. Since the motive power mechanism part is of simple construction using link members, and engaging parts of gears can be lessened, the device according to the present invention can contribute to compactness and cost reduction and also can restrict "shaking" in rear wheel steering due to backlash of gears.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a suspension system in a vehicle body assembly which is used in common for a four-wheel-steering vehicle and a two-wheel-steering vehicle. In the present invention, a front suspension system installed in a four-wheel-steering vehicle is set to have a higher lateral rigidity than when installed in a two-wheel-steering vehicle, so that the front suspension system can withstand the lateral forces acting on the front wheels of the four-wheel-steering vehicle, said lateral forces being larger than those in a two-wheel-steering vehicle. Further, the suspension system is set to have a lowered rigidity against rolling of the vehicle body where it is installed in a four-wheel-steering vehicle, whereby the riding comfort can be maintained as that of the two-wheel-steering vehicle. In addition, a front steering mechanism installed in a four-wheel-steering vehicle is set to have a steering ratio which is smaller than where it is installed in a two-wheel-steering vehicle, by which even when the rear wheels are steered in the same direction as the front wheels, the four-wheel-steering vehicle can be handled in the same manner as the two-wheel-steering vehicle.

    摘要: It is made possible to position plate members to be butt-welded for formation of weld line in a small amount of time so as to enhance working capacity of butt welding.Plate members 17 are respectively rested on first and second tables 1A and 1B relatively movable toward and away from each other. The plate members 17 are caused to abut against reference positioning members 16a and 16b of reference positioning devices protruded ahead of and over opposing ends 1′ of the tables 1A and 1B so that opposing ends of the plate members 17 are positioned in protrusion ahead of the opposing ends 1′ of the tables 1A and 1B, and the plate members 17 are positioned laterally. Then, the positioned plate members 17 are locked on the tables 1A and 1B. After the reference positioning devices are retracted, the tables 1A and 1B are relatively moved toward each other to cause the opposing ends of the plate members 17 to abut together for formation of weld line X.

The rear wheel turning angle ratio changing mechanism is controlled in such a way that, when the front wheels are turned from the neutral position in a middle vehicle speed range, makes the rear wheel turning angle ratio negative for a moment immediately after initiation of turning of the front wheels and thereafter turns the same positive.

    摘要: A power steering device for a vehicle comprises a steering wheel, a steering linkage operatively connecting the steering wheel to dirigible wheels of the vehicle and a power assisting device inserted into the steering linkage to assist the steering force of the steering wheel. A steering shaft of the steering linkage rotated with the steering wheel to transmit the steering force from the steering wheel to the power assisting device is divided into first and second parts. A pair of coil springs are inserted between the first and second parts of the steering shaft to connect them with each other and is adapted to be elastically deformed to produce a rotational displacement between them when the steering wheel is rotated. A set load is placed on the coil spring so that the coil spring can be elastically deformed only when the steering force from the steering wheel exceeds a predetermined value.
