摘要: An ink-jet recording head for use in an ink-jet printer comprises a plurality of head portions. Each of head portions includes an ink cavity for receiving an ink material, means for pressurizing the ink material in the ink cavity, and a nozzle through which the ink material is ejected. The nozzle has an individual cross section with respect to an axial direction thereof and the cross section of one head portion is different from that of another head portion.

摘要: An ink-jet recording device (1) comprises a first wall member or partition (24a) adjacent to an ink material (38a) and a second wall member or partition (24b) adjacent to an ink material (38b). An elasticity of the first wall member (24a) is different from that of the second wall member (24b). Arranged adjacent to the first and second wall members (24a, 24b) are first and second piezoelectric members (34), respectively. Once the piezoelectric members (34) are biased, they deform to force the adjacent ink materials through the wall members (24a,24b), ejecting ink droplets of different sizes. This ensures the ink-jet recording head to print a halftone image with a high gradation.

摘要: A recording device includes: a recording head which performs a recording operation on a recording medium; a transport member which has a plurality of through holes arranged therein and transports the recording medium; and a suction unit which has a suction force generating section for generating a suction force for sucking air and a plurality of communication channels for communicating the suction force generating section with the respective through holes and generates a suction force in the through holes to suck the recording medium onto the transport member. On the upstream side of the recording area in a transport direction, a suction force at the center in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction of the recording medium is larger than a suction force at the opposite ends.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes: a transporting unit that transports a printing medium; a printing unit that performs a printing process on the printing medium, which is transported forward from an upstream side to a downstream side by the transporting unit, at a print position in a transport path; a cutting unit that cuts the printing medium at a cutting position on the downstream side of the print position so as to divide a part of the printing medium, on which the printing process is performed, from a non-printed part thereof on the upstream side of the part; and a removing unit that removes cutting dust. The printing unit performs the printing process on the non-printed part thereof from which the cutting dust is removed through the removing unit by transporting the printing medium backward to the print position.
