    Abstract: The invention optically analyzes a component in a sample having a material suspended. An optical analysis system that irradiates a liquid sample with light and analyzes a component of the sample using transmitted light transmitted through the sample includes a container accommodating the sample and an ultrasonic irradiation unit irradiating an ultrasonic wave for exciting the sample. The container includes a pair of light transmission wall portions between which the sample is disposed and which has light transmissivity, and one of the light transmission wall portions and the other of the light transmission wall portions are disposed to be separated from each other at a distance shorter than a wavelength of the ultrasonic wave.

    Abstract: Relating to a technology for separating a suspended matter in a suspension using ultrasonic waves, a technology that can realize high separation ability capable of highly efficient separation of the suspended matter in the suspension is provided. A suspension flow-through separation apparatus includes a flow-through separator including a flow-through separation unit. The flow-through separation unit includes a cavity structure that functions as a channel through which a suspension flows, a side surface portion which extends in an x-direction of the cavity structure, a supply port which is provided at one side surface portion, an outlet port which is provided at the other side surface portion, two planar portions that extend in a y-direction in the cavity structure and face to each other, and an ultrasonic oscillator that is provided at least one of two planar portions, and emits ultrasonic waves to the channel. The suspended matter in the suspension is captured by the ultrasonic waves and separated in a z-direction that is a vertical direction while the suspension flows through the channel of the flow-through separator. A first angle formed by the x-direction or the y-direction and a flow-through direction corresponding to a straight line connecting a center point of the supply port and a center point of the outlet port is an acute angle.

    Abstract: An optical analysis apparatus, that irradiates a liquid sample with light and analyzes the sample, includes a measurement unit that measures the sample, a light source portion that emits light with which the sample is irradiated, and a light receiving portion that receives the light transmitted through the sample. The measurement unit includes a housing provided with an opening portion for flowing in and out of the sample, an accommodation region connected to the opening portion and provided inside the housing, a movable portion provided inside the accommodation region to be movable inside the accommodation region, an irradiation portion which receives the light emitted from the light source portion and in which an inside of the accommodation region is irradiated with the light, and a light collection portion which collects the light transmitted through the sample inside the accommodation region and outputs the light to the light receiving portion.
