摘要: A method of annealing and descaling hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel strip wherein. The steel strip is descaled in a connected plasma descaling installation after annealing and subsequent cooling. The plasma descaling is carried out under vacuum in a plurality of stages, and the steel strip is subjected to a controlled cooling between these stages and after the final stage by means of cooling rolls so that the steel strip has a temperature below 100° C. when exiting the plasma descaling installation. An apparatus to practice the method is also disclosed.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for hot dip coating a metal bar (1), especially a steel strip, wherein the metal bar (1) is vertically guided through a container (3) receiving the molten coating metal (2) and through a guide channel (4) which is arranged upstream therefrom. A magnet, especially an electromagnetic inductor (5), is arranged in the region of the guide channel, said magnet generating a magnetic field in order to retain the coating metal (2) in the container (3). The container (3) is provided with molten coating metal (2) by a premelt container (6). The invention also relates to a method for hot dip coating wherein said type of device is used. According to the invention, the premelt container (6) is arranged below the guide channel (4) in order to technically adapt the existing system in a simple, efficient manner.

摘要: The invention concerns a method and a device for descaling a metal strip (1), especially a hot-rolled strip of normal steel or a hot-rolled or cold-rolled strip of austenitic or ferritic stainless steel, in which the metal strip (1) is guided in a direction of conveyance (R) through at least one plasma descaling unit (2, 3) in which it is subjected to a plasma descaling. The objective of the invention is to improve the production of this type of metal strip. To this end, the metal strip (1) is subjected to an automatically controlled cooling process in a cooling unit (4, 5) following the plasma descaling in the one or more plasma descaling units (2, 3) in such a way that it has a well-defined temperature downstream of the cooling unit (4, 5). The invention also concerns a method in which the strip is coated with a coating metal after the plasma descaling operation and in which the heating of the strip caused by the plasma descaling operation is utilized in the coating operation.

In particular, a mains frequency of 50 Hz is intended.

摘要: A process and a device for coating the surface of strip material, especially non-ferrous metal and steel strip, with a metal coating, wherein the material is conducted without reversal of direction through a container holding the molten coating material. The container has a passage duct below the level of the melting bath, in which induction currents are induced by an electromagnetic travelling field and produce, in interaction with the electromagnetic travelling field, an electromagnetic force for restraining the coating material. In order to stabilize the melt in the passage duct as well as in the container, and in order to attain, to a large extent, a counterbalance between hydrostatic and electromagnetic forces, a constant direct or alternating current field is directed opposite to the travelling field in the area near the container, damping the movement in the coating material. For this purpose, an additional iron core, which has coils running parallel to the inductor coils and can be subjected to direct or alternating current, is arranged above each inductor on both sides of the passage duct.
