Abstract:
A computer system includes a database configured to receive a query and to produce a list of User IDs and an anonymization module. The anonymization module is configured to receive a list of user IDs in response to a query, the list of user IDs defining a true user count, generate a noisy user count of the list of user IDs, compare the true user count to a first threshold value stored in memory, compare the noisy user count to a second threshold value stored in memory, and output the noisy user count only if the true user count is greater than the first threshold value and the noisy user count is greater then the second threshold.
Abstract:
A method of annealing and descaling hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel strip wherein. The steel strip is descaled in a connected plasma descaling installation after annealing and subsequent cooling. The plasma descaling is carried out under vacuum in a plurality of stages, and the steel strip is subjected to a controlled cooling between these stages and after the final stage by means of cooling rolls so that the steel strip has a temperature below 100° C. when exiting the plasma descaling installation. An apparatus to practice the method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a strip sealing gate (1) for sealing a first chamber (2) with a first pressure level (p1) in relation to a second chamber (3) with a second pressure level (p2) that differs from the first, a strip (4), in particular a metal strip, passing through both chambers (2, 3). According to the invention, at least two rollers (5, 6) are provided for sealing the chambers (2, 3), said rollers resting in a sealing manner on either side of the strip (4). The aim of the invention is to improve the sealing action. To achieve this, at least some sections of the circumference of at least one of the rollers (5, 6) are covered with a flexible elastic material (7) and said roller or rollers (5, 6) have an inner core (8) that is covered with a jacket consisting of the flexible elastic material (7). A central region (9) of the inner core (8) has a cylindrical contour (10) and the edge regions (11, 12) of the core (8) are flared.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for inserting metal ingots (2) into a metal bath (3), in particular zinc ingots into a zinc bath, wherein the device (1) comprises feed means (4) with which an ingot (2) can be fed to the metal bath (3), and wherein the device (1) comprises heating means (5) with which the ingot (2) can be heated to a desired temperature before and/or after its feeding into the metal bath (3). In order to improve the process control, it is provided according to the invention that the heating means (5) comprise at least one independently operated heating element which can be operated independently of other system parts with which the device (1) cooperates.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of using chip-based gel electrophoresis to determine the presence of polypeptides with selected disulfide linkage patterns, for example, completely formed tetrameric antibodies as compared to incompletely formed heterodimeric half-antibodies. The invention further features a kit, comprising a chip, and instructions for conducting the foregoing method. The methods and kits of the invention are amendable to high throughput applications for the monitoring of production and quality control of recombinant therapeutic antibodies.
Abstract:
A method for descaling a metal strip, in which the metal strip is guided in a direction of conveyance through at least two plasma descaling units, in which it is subjected to a plasma descaling, where the plasma descaling is followed directly or indirectly by an operation in which the metal strip is coated with a coating metal by hot dip galvanizing of the metal strip. The metal strip is coated with the coating metal by a vertical passage process. The coating metal is retained as a coating bath in a coating tank by an electromagnetic seal. The metal strip preheated by the plasma descaling is guided, without exposure to air, from the plasma descaling into a protective gas atmosphere of a continuous furnace necessary for the coating.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing collaborative master data process management. A master data store comprises data for at least one data domain. A master data management module is configured to provide access to the data to one or more applications. A master data management service module provides at least one service providing access to the data based on a service-oriented architecture. A business process management module is configured to generate, execute and manage at least one business process related to the data domain. The at least one business process uses at least one of the at least one service provided by the master data management service module. A master data process module is configured to generate at least one data process comprising a business process involving an operation on the data.
Abstract:
A method and a device for descaling a metal strip, in which the metal strip is guided in a direction of conveyance through at least one plasma descaling unit in which it is subjected to a plasma descaling. The metal strip is subjected to an automatically controlled cooling process in a cooling unit following the plasma descaling in the one or more plasma descaling units in such a way that it has a well-defined temperature downstream of the cooling unit.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of a cleaning a metal strip (1). In order to improve the cleaning of the strip, according to the invention, it is provided that the metal strip (1) is first subjected to a first high-pressure cleaning (4) with at least one liquid jet in a first region (2) of a cleaning device (3), and in that the metal strip (1) thereafter is subjected to an ultrasonic cleaning (6) in a second region off the cleaning device (3), at which the metal strip (1) is displaced through a container filled with liquid. The invention further relates to a device for cleaning a metal strip.
