The boss includes a bearing surface and a locking surface part. The locking surface part is connected to the bearing surface and protrudes in an outside direction such that at least a part of the locking surface part overlaps with the attachment surface part viewed from an attachment direction when a center of the attachment and detachment hole coincides with a center of the bearing surface.

摘要: A fuel cell stack includes a stack body, an end plate, an end stack member, a terminal plate, and a fixing member. The stack body has an end portion in a stacking direction. The stack body includes power generating cells stacked in the stacking direction. The end stack member is provided between the end plate and the end portion of the stack body in the stacking direction. The terminal plate is provided between the end stack member and the end portion of the stack body in the stacking direction to be in contact with the end portion of the stack body. The terminal plate includes a terminal bar which passes through the end stack member and the end plate and which has a projecting portion projecting from the end plate to be connected to a cable connecter. The fixing member connects the cable connecter to the end stack member.

The first metal separator has a heating portion subjected to spot heating from a surface of the first metal separator for allowing the first resin frame member to be melted partially. The first metal separator and the first membrane electrode assembly are welded together by a plurality of welding portions to form a first structural body.

The first tightening members couple long sides of the first end plate and long sides of the second end plate, and extend in the stacking direction. The second tightening members couple short sides of the first end plate and short sides of the second end plate, and extend in the stacking direction. Extensions are formed on both of long sides of the fuel cell, and the first tightening members have recessed portions engaged with the extensions.

A second end plate is provided at one end of the stack body in the stacking direction. A pair of coolant supply passages are provided at upper and lower positions of the second end plate for allowing a coolant to flow into the fuel cells. A coolant supply manifold member is attached to the second end plate, and an insulating plate is provided between the second end plate and the coolant supply manifold member.

The first end plate and the second end plate have insertion holes for insertion of knock pins. A diameter-increasing surface is formed in an inner circumferential surface of each insertion hole in a direction spaced from the knock pin to increase the diameter of the insertion hole.
