摘要: There is described a portable electronic device capable of managing screen orientation. The portable electronic device comprises a display, a motion sensor, an image sensor and a processor. The display provides an image at a first orientation. The motion sensor attempts to detect a rotation of the portable electronic device. The image sensor attempts to detect one or more body features. The processor determines a second orientation of the image at the display based on the rotation detected at the motion sensor and/or the body feature or features detected at the image sensor. The portable electronic device may determine an orientation of the image at the display in response to detecting the rotation at the motion sensor and/or the body feature or features at the image sensor.

摘要: Embodiments of methods are provided for transferring a user identity from one wireless communication device to another in a wireless communication system having a network system controller. A first device sends a deactivation request to the network controller, which includes information identifying the first device and a second device. The second device sends an activation request to the network system controller, which includes the information identifying the second device. The first device also sends repertoire information to the second device via the network system controller. The repertoire information is associated with the first device, and is selected from a group consisting of personal phone books, stored messages, stored recent call logs, and calendar information.

摘要: A method is provided for transferring user identities between one CDMA wireless communication device (120) and another in a wireless CDMA communication system (100) having a network system controller (140). The network controller (140) receives an activation command from a wireless communication device (120), the activation command including identification information identifying the activating wireless communication device (404). Next, the network controller determines whether the activating wireless communication device is a transferred identity wireless communication device in response to the identification information (424). The network controller then activates the activating wireless communication device with a transferred identity (436) if the activating wireless communication device is determined to be a transferred identity wireless communication device (424).

摘要: A method for preparing a silicon monoxide composite material includes: a first stage: introducing a protective gas into a vapor deposition oven, and pre-heating a silicon monoxide raw material, such that a part of the silicon monoxide raw material is subjected to a disproportionation reaction; a second stage: continuously introducing the protective gas and introducing a carbon source gas, and subjecting the pre-heated silicon monoxide raw material to a chemical vapor deposition to form carbon nanotubes on a surface of silicon monoxide; and a third stage: after a predetermined time period, stopping introducing the carbon source gas, and stopping introducing the protective gas until the vapor deposition oven is cooled to room temperature, to prepare the silicon monoxide composite material. During the preparation process, no extra catalyst needs to be added, a product of the previous disproportionation reaction may act as a catalyst for the growth of the carbon nanotubes.

摘要: A system and method for selecting a wireless network is disclosed. The method relates to selecting a wireless network from a plurality of wireless networks. A variation of the invention includes selecting a new platform from a plurality of platforms offered by the current service provider according to a service request from the wireless device. The method comprises determining a requested service associated with the wireless device, determining whether one of the plurality of wireless networks can provide the requested service, and, if one of the plurality of wireless networks can provide the requested service, choosing the one wireless network of the plurality of wireless networks. The method further involves using a variety of parameters in determining which wireless network to choose for servicing the requested service from the wireless device. These parameters include quality of services, application supported, or other business factors such as roaming agreements, traffic load and cost of services. The system comprises at least one wireless network node, a wireless device, and a plurality of wireless networks communicating with each other. Either the wireless device or network node may operate to decide based on the services the wireless device user requires on which network the user will receive service from. The network assignment is accomplished to maximize the speed, cost and efficiency of transmission.
