    Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a method includes receiving, from a base station, configuration information of a first set of resources for a user equipment (UE). The configuration information includes a first parameter for the first set of the resources. The method further includes receiving, from the base station, first group signaling that assigns a first value to the first parameter for the first set of the resources. The method further includes communicating with the first set of the resources in accordance with the first value for the first parameter.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for triggering activation of a secondary cell (SCell) and activating the SCell is provided. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a gNB, a SCell activation command indicating the UE to activate a SCell for communications between the UE and the gNB on the SCell, and receive a reference signal (RS) on the SCell. The RS is configured for activation of the SCell. The UE may perform, upon receiving the SCell activation command, SCell activation for activating the SCell based at least on the RS, and send, to the gNB, a report indicating that the SCell is activated for the UE.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a communication method, a network device, and a terminal device. Under the method, a network device can send SRS configuration information of a first transmission resource and of a second transmission resource to a terminal device. The first transmission resource is a switching source carrier or bandwidth part. The second transmission resource is a switching destination carrier or bandwidth part. The SRS configuration information of the first and second transmission resource includes a first OFDM symbol set and a second OFDM symbol set respectively. Some and all symbols in the first set and second set may be used by the terminal device to send an SRS on the first and second transmission resource respectively. In various embodiments, the network device configures one or more symbols for the terminal device to transmit an SRS, so that high-frequency channel measurement can be better supported.

    Abstract: An embodiment method, by a user equipment (UE), includes performing a channel measurement (CM) on a first subset of a set of non-zero-power (NZP) CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources and an interference measurement (IM) on at least a second subset of the set of NZP CSI-RS resources. The second subset includes one or more NZP CSI-RS ports. The IM is performed according to assumptions: each NZP CSI-RS port in the second subset corresponds to an interference transmission layer, the IM being in accordance with a set of energy per resource element ratios each associated with one NZP CSI-RS resource in the second subset; and other interference not associated with the interference transmission layers is on the first and second subsets. The method includes generating a channel state information (CSI) report based on the CM and IM and transmitting the CSI report to a network.
