    Abstract: The disclosure proposes methods and device for supporting flexible frame compression. The method at transmit end comprises: obtaining an original frame; select at least one of a plurality of compression profiles based on one or more compression parameters including a compression context, wherein the compression context comprises mobile network information; compress the original frame based on the at least one selected compression profile to obtain a compressed frame; and transmitting the compressed frame, particularly to a wireless receiving device.
