Abstract: An image switching method and apparatus. The method includes: displaying an image in a first format; receiving an input instruction for switching the image from the first format to a second format; and displaying the image in the second format. The first format is a panorama image format or a wide-view image format, the second format is a panorama image format or a wide-view image format, and the first format is different from the second format. According to the method and the device in the embodiments of the present invention, a manner of simple and flexible interaction between a panorama image and a street side image is provided.

Abstract: This application provides encoding and decoding methods and apparatuses for an enhancement layer. The encoding method includes: an encoder obtains a reconstructed block of a base layer of a to-be-encoded picture block; calculates a difference between corresponding pixels in the to-be-encoded picture block and the reconstructed block of the base layer to obtain a residual block of an enhancement layer of the to-be-encoded picture block; determines a transform-block partitioning manner of the residual block of the enhancement layer; and performs transformation on the residual block of the enhancement layer based on the transform-block partitioning manner. This application can simplify a processing procedure for the encoder and improve encoding efficiency of the encoder. In addition, compression efficiency of the residual block can be improved more effectively by using an adaptive TU partitioning method.

In this way, the image is encoded to obtain the bitstream data with a small data amount (namely, the bitstream data with a low encoding scale), so that when a network fluctuates, the bitstream data corresponding to the image can arrive at a decoder side with a higher probability, thereby ensuring smoothness of video playing.
