    Abstract: An electronic device and antenna system for generation of millimeter-wave frequency radiation. The antenna system has first conductive structure, a second conductive structure, and an antenna comprising a first antenna element configured to excite a first electric field having a first polarization, and a second antenna element configured to excite a second electric field having a second polarization. The first antenna element and the second antenna element extend in an antenna plane. An anisotropic dielectric volume is partially enclosed by the antenna, the first conductive structure, and the second conductive structure. A first surface of the dielectric volume is open to the exterior of the antenna system. The dielectric volume allows the first and second electric fields to propagate, within the dielectric volume, from the antenna at least partially towards the first conductive structure, and to radiate from the first surface to the exterior.

    Abstract: A patch antenna includes a plurality of patch units, a first feeding branch, and a second feeding branch. The plurality of patch units is symmetric relative to a virtual symmetry axis. The plurality of patch units is arranged at intervals. A gap is formed between adjacent patch units, and the adjacent patch units are coupled through the gap. The first feeding branch and the second feeding branch are symmetric relative to the symmetry axis, and each of the first feeding branch and the second feeding branch is electrically connected to at least one patch unit of the plurality of patch units. The first feeding branch is configured for a first polarization of the patch antenna, and the second feeding branch is configured for a second polarization of the patch antenna.

    Abstract: Antenna element comprising a patch antenna extending in a main plane, a conductive structure, a first feed line, and a second feed line. The conductive structure comprises a bottom element and at least one wall element, said wall element at least partially enclosing an aperture, said patch antenna being superposed over said aperture. First feed line and said second feed line extend from said bottom element across said aperture and are coupled to said patch antenna. Aperture may be configured to generate a first resonance frequency (F1) and a fourth resonance frequency (F4), and said patch antenna is configured to generate a second resonance frequency (F2) and a third resonance frequency (F3), (F1)>(F2)>(F3)>(F4).     Abstract: Various embodiments relate to an antenna design enabling beam-steering antenna arrays for communication in a high radio frequency spectrum.
