A charging control apparatus, a method, and a system are disclosed. When a user equipment (UE) accesses a service that charges an over the top (OTT) service (SP), the charging control apparatus receives flow description information from a policy charging enforcement function (PCEF), determines a service identifier corresponding to the data flow; and sends the service identifier to the PCEF, so that the PCEF charges for the service according to the service identifier. When the UE accesses the service, the PCEF may obtain the service identifier from the charging control apparatus. In this way, the PCEF can obtain the service identifier and the charging identifier that are corresponding to the data flow. Therefore, a configuration workload can be decreased.
Abstract:
The invention provides a session restoration method, device and system. The method includes: receiving, by a standby PCRF, a CCR-U message sent by a PCEF, where the CCR-U message is sent by the PCEF after determining that a session needs to be updated; and according to the CCR-U message, re-establishing, by the standby PCRF, a session and making a PCC policy decision. According to embodiments of the present invention, signaling interaction overheads can be reduced, and a signaling processing capability of a standby PCRF can be improved.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a capability negotiation method, system and apparatus, which are applied to the field of communications, and can improve the flexibility of capability negotiation. The capability negotiation method is applied to a base station, including: acquiring a gateway capability identifier, where the gateway capability identifier is a description of an end to end quality of service EtoE QoS control capability of a gateway; parsing the gateway capability identifier to obtain the EtoE QoS control capability of the gateway; and determining whether the EtoE QoS control capability of the gateway matches a local EtoE QoS control capability, so that when the EtoE QoS control capability of the gateway matches the local EtoE QoS control capability, EtoE QoS control is established.

A session management network element discovery method includes that a network repository function network element receives a first identifier from a mobility management network element, where the first identifier is for identifying a home location of a terminal device. The network repository function network element determines a first session management network element based on the first identifier, where a home location identifier of the first session management network element is the same as the first identifier. The network repository function network element sends an identifier of the first session management network element to the mobility management network element.

A method, a device, and a system for controlling quality of service are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a policy and charging enforcement function PCEF entity, a service flow priority identifier (FPI) of a downlink data packet, where the FPI is used to indicate a priority of a service flow to which the downlink data packet belongs; carrying, by the PCEF, the FPI in the downlink data packet; and sending, by the PCEF, the downlink data packet to a base station, so that the base station sends the downlink data packet to a user equipment UE according to the FPI. By adopting the method, the device, and the system according to the embodiments of the present invention, end-to-end differentiated processing of a service flow can be implemented, differentiated experiences can be provided for different levels of subscribers and different types of services.

A method, a device, and a system for controlling quality of service are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a policy and charging enforcement function PCEF entity, a service flow priority identifier (FPI) of a downlink data packet, where the FPI is used to indicate a priority of a service flow to which the downlink data packet belongs; carrying, by the PCEF, the FPI in the downlink data packet; and sending, by the PCEF, the downlink data packet to a base station, so that the base station sends the downlink data packet to a user equipment UE according to the FPI. By adopting the method, the device, and the system according to the embodiments of the present invention, end-to-end differentiated processing of a service flow can be implemented, differentiated experiences can be provided for different levels of subscribers and different types of services.
