摘要: Provided is a method of providing a feature in a web browser that enables a user to adjust a downloaded image to correctly display on the user's computer screen. The disclosed technology provides a mechanism that enables a user to adjust images in a web page. The claimed subject matter provides “rotate” buttons, displayed in conjunction with the particular image, so that the user can rotate the image into an appropriate orientation. In addition, a “sizing” button or buttons are provided. Different web pages may display differently on different computer screens, depending upon both the size of the screen and the size of the window in which the web page is displayed. The disclosed technology enables a user to adjust, in addition to the rotation, the size of an image so that the image displays properly and completely on the user's screen and in the corresponding window.

摘要: Provided is a method to facilitate screen navigation in conjunction with a web browser. Specifically, a navigation history documenter and display module (NHDD) is employed in conjunction with a web browser to enhance the functionality of the browser. Using static links, categorical-hierarchical web sites, search engines or any combination of the three, a user freely navigates through multiple web sites and particular locations within web sites. The NHDD maintains a record of the navigation path. In conjunction with the specific sites and materials included in the navigation path, the NHDD maintain a record corresponding to the relations among the points along the path. In response to a user input, the NHDD displays navigation history information related to the order in which the points along a navigation path were traversed. In one embodiment, the information is displayed as sequentially order markers overlaid on a web page.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for storing a language preference and providing the stored language preference automatically without any intervention of a user. The user may have an option to set a desired language preference on the calling apparatus such as a telephone device. A call center may send a query requesting language preference information of the user to the calling apparatus when the user makes a call connection to the call center. The desired language preference saved on the calling apparatus may be sent directly from the calling apparatus to the call center. In this manner, the user may not have to repeat a language selection process for every call made to the call center.

摘要: Illustrative embodiments disclose sending content from a first application at a first location to a second application at a second remote location. In response to a user input indicating a selection of content for transfer to the second application, the selection of the content is copied to form copied content. The copied content is then automatically sent to the second application at the remote second location without requiring additional user manipulation of the copy content. Additionally, the destination may be another user. In this case, the second application is employed to automatically transfer the copied content to that second user.

摘要: A comprehensive method for handling telephone calls directed to a telephone number of a terminated user that has been reassigned to a new user. The present invention provides user with a notification service that intercepts telephone calls to said telephone number and notifies callers that the telephone number has been reassigned to the new user. Callers seeking the new user continue calls to user, which results in user only being alerted by continuing callers and not being bothered by callers seeking the terminated user. The user can customize the notification message to inform callers of the details regarding the telephone number reassignment and to whom the telephone number was reassigned. The user can specify a time period for the notification service to be activated. The notification service stores all continuing calls in a log, and bypasses all subsequent calls from telephone numbers listed in the log. The user can also store telephone numbers in the log to be bypassed, such as telephone numbers from the user's address book, once the notification service is activated so that these callers will never be intercepted by the notification service. The user can also delete telephone numbers from the bypass log.

摘要: A system, computer program and method for automating form transcription. Data and meta data may be retrieved from a selected input form, e.g., W2 form. Data may refer to information, e.g., gross income, contained in a field in the input form. Meta data may refer to information, e.g., identifying fields in the input form, that describes or characterizes the data. The retrieved data and meta data may be correlated and stored in a database. Correlating may refer to identifying particular information in particular fields in the input form. The stored correlated data and meta for a selected input form may be mapped to a selected target form, e.g., 1040 form. Mapping may include mapping the data and meta data associated with particular fields in the input form to corresponding fields in the target form.
