摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus includes first and second substrates, a liquid crystal layer, a sealing member, and first and second spacers. The first substrate includes a first display part having a pixel electrode formed thereon. The second substrate includes a second display part having a common electrode. The liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and second substrates. The seal line includes a liquid crystal inlet. The first spacer is disposed between the first and second display parts. The second spacer is disposed near the liquid crystal inlet. The second and third spacers prevent the cell gap of the liquid crystal inlet from being narrowed, so that a liquid crystal material may be injected easily completely. Thus, the liquid crystal material is completely filled to enhance the display quality.

摘要： A liquid crystal display that is less vulnerable to signal line corrosion due to infiltration of moisture is presented. The display includes: a first display panel and a second display panel facing each other; a sealant disposed between the first display panel and the second display panel to define a sealant region and couple the first display panel and the second display panel to each other; a blocking member disposed between the first display panel and the second display panel and neighboring the sealant; and a liquid crystal interposed between the first display panel and the second display panel, and disposed in the sealant region. The blocking member includes silicone formed from a silane derivative having at least one butyrate.

摘要： An array substrate of an LCD having: a gate line formed along a first direction; a data line formed along a second direction crossing the first direction; first and second pixel electrodes spaced apart from each other; a thin-film transistor includes a gate electrode connected to the gate line; a source electrode connected to the data line and partially overlapping the second pixel electrode; and a drain electrode connected to the first pixel electrode spaced apart from the second pixel electrode along the second direction. The source electrode or the gate electrode overlaps the second pixel electrode but the drain electrode does not overlap the second pixel electrode. Electrical coupling between the first and second pixel electrodes are avoided with such configuration.

摘要： Disclosed are an alignment material comprising a solvent, a polymer resin, and a cross-linking agent, and a liquid crystal display using the alignment material. The polymer resin is mixed with the solvent to have a weight percent ranging from about 4% to about 8% and includes an amic acid monomer having an amino group in one example. The cross-linking agent is mixed with the solvent to have a weight percent ranging from about 2% to about 20% and includes a diepoxy group which reacts with the amino group in one example. The liquid crystal display comprises two substrates facing each other, and an alignment layer formed at a top surface of at least one of the two substrates. The alignment layer is formed by curing the alignment material.

The first insulating layer includes a first contact hole exposing a first portion of the common voltage wiring and a plurality of a second contact hole exposing a second portion of the common voltage wiring, the second contact hole having a smaller area than the first contact hole.

The panel assembly for a display device includes a display region including a plurality of pixels and most of display signal lines connected to the pixels, a plurality of repair lines disposed in a shape of a ring in a peripheral region outside of the display region, and first to third auxiliary repair lines disposed in the peripheral region in parallel to data lines. An additional auxiliary repair line is provided at a right side of each of the data driving IC regions. By doing so, occurrence of disconnection and success in repairing the disconnected data lines of a display penal which is mounted in a COG scheme is tested by using a TCP type of test unit, so that it is possible to greatly reduce production costs involved in the COG type test unit.
