    摘要： The invention is directed to a broadcasting program recording system having a key input unit configured to receive a control signal from a user, the control signal including at least one of recording, reproducing, displaying and clipping signals, a display device configured to display a broadcasting program and a guide bar according to the control signal, respectively, a storage configured to store a broadcasting program, and a processor configured to control a broadcasting program to be recorded in the storage, control the recorded broadcasting program to be displayed on the display device, and control the guide bar to be displayed on the display device according to the control signal, respectively. The guide bar represents status information of the broadcasting program recorded in the storage or an ongoing status of a currently received broadcasting program, and the processor sets at least one clipping region on the guide bar according to the control signal and controls the at least one clipping region to be newly stored in the storage.

    摘要： A system and a method for recording digital broadcasting programs are disclosed. The system executes the clipping function that allows a user to select a portion of a recorded video signal, time-shifted video signal, or real-time broadcasting video signal through a guide bar in an OSD form, and stores only the video signal of the selected portion in an HDD. This prevents the HDD from being unnecessarily wasted and allows the user to easily perform the clipping function. Even a time-shifted program is stored in the HDD through the clipping function so that the user can reproduce the time-shifted program whenever he wants to watch it.

    摘要： An apparatus for displaying an EPG guide bar includes: an EPG data extraction part extracting EPG data from a signal through a channel; a first memory storing the EPG data; a second memory storing a broadcast program; a user interface display part producing a guide bar having a fixed indicator displaying a present time with the help of a graphic processor, sliding title areas of broadcast programs corresponding to the EPG data of the first memory in the guide bar on real-time correspondingly to the present time, and updating the title areas with a predetermined time interval centering around the fixed indicator so as to produce information indicating a record proceeding status on at least one of the title areas of the broadcast programs which are being recorded in the second memory; and an on-screen display part converting the information from the user interface display part into an on-screen display form so as to display the converted information on a display.
