摘要: A method and system for wireless communication with a mobile router in a moving vehicle, such as a train, and an external wireless network is disclosed. The external network includes a plurality of trackside base stations distributed along a path of travel. The method includes: determining the presence of a mobile router within the access area of a trackside base station, and when the presence of a mobile router has been determined: setting the power of the trackside base station to a high power mode; determining a direction of travel of the vehicle; setting the power of at least one trackside base station arranged in the forward direction of the base station for which the mobile router has been detected to a high power mode; and setting the power of at least one trackside base station arranged in the backward direction of the base station to a low power mode.

摘要: A wireless communication system and method for a moving vehicle having a plurality of carriages is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of routers, each router being arranged in a separate carriage and each router being configured to receive and transmit wireless data communication to and from a stationary communication server outside said moving vehicle through at least one exterior mobile network via at least one antenna, wherein said at least one exterior mobile network provides at least one data link; receive and transmit data packets to and from at least one client onboard the moving vehicle; and communicate with every other router in said moving vehicle in order to receive and transmit data packets to and from said every other router, thereby forming an onboard router network.

摘要: A method and system for wireless communication between a moving vehicle, such as a train, and a remote server through at least one external mobile network are disclosed. The communication system includes at least one router in the train for receiving and transmitting wireless data communication to and from a stationary communication server outside the train through at least one exterior mobile network via at least one antenna. The router includes a control unit configured to allocate bandwidth according to a predefined packet policy to streams of data packets which are matched to the predefined packet policies, providing for a very efficient bandwidth management in a wireless network within a train. Hereby, is easy to prioritize voice-over-IP (VOIP) and/or VPN traffic over video traffic.

摘要: Electric railway systems are disclosed. In an embodiment, the electric railway system includes a continuous conductor, access points, connections, and a microwave link. The continuous conductor runs along the railway track for supplying high-voltage power to trains travelling on the railway system, and supplies high-voltage power to trains travelling on the electric railway systems. The continuous conductor is arranged as an overhead line suspended from poles or towers distributed along the railway track. The access points provide data communication with trains travelling on the railway system, and are arranged on the poles or towers above the railway track. The connections connect the electric railway system to an electric low-voltage power cable. The microwave link connects the access points.

摘要: A system and method for providing wireless data communication between a wireless communication system in an aircraft and a stationary communication server outside the aircraft are disclosed. The wireless communication system includes a router network connected to a plurality of antennas, wherein the router network is configured to transmit and receive wireless data communication to and from a stationary communication server outside said aircraft through at least one ground base station via said antennas. The router network includes a plurality of connectivity nodes being physically separated and distributed within the aircraft, the connectivity nodes being connected to each other via a bus, and each connectivity node including a control unit, at least one modem, and preferably a plurality of modems, and a connection to at least one of the antennas. Further, each antenna is connected only to one of the connectivity nodes.

摘要: A method and device for wireless communication between a mobile router in a moving vehicle, such as a train, and an external wireless network is disclosed. The external network includes a plurality of base stations distributed along a vehicle path of travel in compliance with a WLAN standard. The method includes: setting a current value for a timeout parameter within the WLAN standard to a default maximum value exceeding a maximum propagation time between neighboring base stations along the vehicle path; determining when at least one mobile router is within the range of a first base station; determining a roundtrip time for communication between the first base station and the mobile router of the mobile router being most distant from the first base station; setting, in case this roundtrip time is significantly lower than the current value, a new current value in dependence on the roundtrip time.
