Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a silane treated composition, and a filled polymer composition comprising such silane treated composition and a polymer for improved mechanical properties; the treatment being in two steps, the first being a treatment with an aqueous silicate, followed by a second treatment with a silane-containing compound; optionally including treatment with an aliphatic carboxylic acid prior to the first treatment.
