Abstract: A method for producing a rubber composition includes: applying a compression process to a fumed silica having a BET specific surface area of 200 m2/g or more to obtain a compressed fumed silica having a tap density of 200 g/L or more; and kneading the compressed fumed silica and diene rubber. A fumed silica for rubber composition is obtained by a surface treatment with a mercapto-thiocarboxylate oligomer, and has a tap density of 200 g/L or more and a BET specific surface area of 200 m2/g or more. A rubber composition contains a compressed fumed silica having a tap density of 200 g/L or more and a BET specific surface area of 200 m2/g or more; a natural rubber; and a mercapto-thiocarboxylate oligomer.

Abstract: A two-part polyurethane adhesive exhibits excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates such as polypropylene. The adhesive consists of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component that are combined and cured to form the adhesive bond. The polyol component is characterized in containing a monoalcohol that has a molecular weight of 100 to 2000. The presence of the monoalcohol promotes strong bonding and a cohesive failure mode that is preferred in vehicular applications.

Abstract: Provided are hexagonal boron nitride aggregated particles and hexagonal boron nitride powder, each of which can be filled into a resin to produce a resin composition with an extremely high dielectric strength and thermal conductivity, and to reduce the density of the resin composition. Provided are hexagonal boron nitride aggregated particles, in which aggregated particles of hexagonal boron nitride primary particles have a longer diameter ranging from 5 to 10 μm, a longer diameter/shorter diameter ranging from 1.0 to 1.3, and a circularity within a range from 0.3 to 0.8, and a maximum diameter of primary particles which can be confirmed on the surface of the aggregated particles on an SEM observation image at 10,000 magnification is 4 μm or less. Provided is a hexagonal boron nitride powder including aggregated particles of hexagonal boron nitride primary particles, in which a particle size (D50) at a cumulative volume frequency of 50% in a particle size distribution as measured by a wet laser diffraction particle size distribution analysis is from 5 to 150 μm, a volume-based median diameter of pores as measured by a mercury porosimetry is 3.0 μm or less, and a content of impurity elements is 500 ppm or less.

(Measurement Method)
The degree of dispersion of the silica powder in the epoxy resin is evaluated in a resin composition obtained by adding 67 parts by mass of the silica powder to 100 parts by mass of a bisphenol F-type liquid epoxy resin with a distribution map method using a grind gauge and the maximum particle size (Dmax) is measured in accordance with JIS K 5600-2-5. Further, the same evaluation is performed five times and the average value thereof is employed.-

Furthermore, the rubber composition comprises 80 phr to 140 phr of silica and 40 phr to 90 phr of a hydrocarbon resin having a glass transition temperature of at least 30° C. and being selected from the group of C5 resins and C5/C9 resins. The present invention is also directed to a tire comprising such a rubber composition.
