    Abstract: In some examples, a device can be used for measuring the impedance of a first battery cell. The device includes a first analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a second ADC. The device also includes a multiplexer configured to connect the first ADC to the first battery cell in a first instance and to connect the second ADC to a current sensor in the first instance. The current sensor is configured to sense current through the first battery cell. The multiplexer is also configured to connect the first ADC to the current sensor in a second instance and to connect the second ADC to the first battery cell in the second instance or in a third instance.

    Abstract: A method and a temperature detection circuit are disclosed. An example of the method includes driving an alternating current with a first frequency into a battery and detecting an imaginary part of a battery impedance at the first frequency; driving an alternating current with a second frequency different from the first frequency into the battery and detecting an imaginary part of the battery impedance at the second frequency; and calculating an intercept frequency at which the imaginary part equals a predefined value at least based on the imaginary part obtained at the first frequency and the imaginary part obtained at the second frequency.

    Abstract: In an example, a device for operating a switching converter is configured to determine a set of perturbed duty cycle values for a converter. A perturbation sequence is superimposed simultaneously onto a duty cycle value for each phase of the converter to form the set of perturbed duty cycle values. The device is further configured to determine an output voltage of the converter that occurs when the converter operates based on the set of perturbed duty cycle values, determine a coefficient vector of system parameters for the converter based on the output voltage and the set of perturbed duty cycle values, and tune a controller based on the coefficient vector. The duty cycle value for each phase of the converter is based on a respective command duty cycle value of a set of command duty cycle values output by the controller.

    Abstract: Various examples relate to techniques of monitoring a reliability of a cell-impedance measurement of a battery cell. In one example, a device includes a first interface configured to inject an AC excitation current into a battery cell and a shunt resistor coupled in parallel to the battery cell. The device also includes a second interface configured to inject an AC test current into the shunt resistor. The device also includes analog-to-digital converters configured to measure a cell voltage across the battery cell associated with the AC excitation current, a shunt voltage across the shunt resistor associated with the AC excitation current and the shunt voltage across the shunt resistor associated with the AC test current.
