Abstract:
A method for a proxy mobile internet protocol (PMIP) supporting a mobile access gateway (MAG) is described. The method includes receiving a first packet with a first internet protocol (IP) address from a local mobility anchor (LMA). The LMA is a hybrid mobility anchor used for both multicast and unicast traffic. The method also includes receiving a second packet with a second IP address from the LMA, receiving a third packet from the LMA, and communicating multicast information to the LMA via an aggregated multicast tunnel.
Abstract:
A method for supporting proxy mobile internet protocol (PMIP) in a local mobility anchor (LMA) is described. The method includes receiving a request for multicast information corresponding to a request for multicast services from at least one of a plurality of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) which require multicast services associated with a multicast group. The method also includes transmitting, to a mobile access gateway (MAG) via an aggregated multicast tunnel, multicast information for distribution to at least one of the plurality of WTRUs in the multicast group. The multicast information comprises an IP address corresponding to the multicast group.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for use in a network storage control peer (NSCP) supporting peer to peer (P2P) operation are disclosed. The method includes receiving a content map request message and transmitting a content map response message including an indication that a CDN-stored content piece is available from the NSCP; and, receiving a content fetch request message for the content piece and transmitting a response message including a redirection command and the CDN URI for the content piece.
Abstract:
Wireless transmit and receive units (WTRUs) and methods for pre-association discovery (PAD) are disclosed. The methods may include obtaining an IP address to communicate with a wireless local area network (WLAN) before associating with the WLAN for the purpose of performing PAD. The methods may include communicating with a remote information server (IS) by sending messages to the WLAN using an L2 address and receiving responses from the IS through the WLAN. The methods may include receiving a message including a source IP address from an unassociated WTRU and restricting the use of the source IP address by the unassociated WTRU. The methods may include receiving a PAD request from a WTRU and relaying messages between the WTRU and a remote IS for PAD information exchange. The WTRU may not have an IP address for use with the WLAN and the WTRU may not be associated with the WLAN.
