摘要: A method and apparatus are provided to enable or aid network-controlled selection of an IP address (and anchor) to be used by a WTRU on an application/service basis. In one example, a method is provided for a WTRU to establish a link with a gateway, transmit a query related to a selected application via the gateway, receive an advertisement for an internet protocol (IP) address, and use the IP address to communicate via the gateway with respect to the selected application. It may be assumed that there are more than one possible IP address/anchor available for the WTRU to use, as it might be the case in a mobility environment, in which an operator can provide addresses with different mobility capabilities.

摘要: Systems and/or methods may be used to select an anchor node. For example, a device may detect or more anchor nodes that may be available for the device to connect to. The device may determine whether to handover to one of the detected anchor nodes based on capability information including load information of the anchor nodes. The device may connect to a detected anchor node based on the the capability information including the load information. The detected anchor nodes may be grouped and the device may select and connect to an anchor node based on the groupings. The device may also store a history including a route of the device and anchor nodes on the route and may use such information to determine whether to connect to detected anchor node. The device may further use proximity to content to determine whether to connect to a detected anchor node.

摘要: A method for supporting proxy mobile internet protocol (PMIP) in a local mobility anchor (LMA) is described. The method includes receiving a request for multicast information corresponding to a request for multicast services from at least one of a plurality of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) which require multicast services associated with a multicast group. The method also includes transmitting, to a mobile access gateway (MAG) via an aggregated multicast tunnel, multicast information for distribution to at least one of the plurality of WTRUs in the multicast group. The multicast information comprises an IP address corresponding to the multicast group.

摘要: A WTRU may receive a first data flow from a source device such as a correspondence node and perform a seamless IUT such that the correspondent node is unaware that the flow has been transferred to a different WTRU. The WTRU may register with a first home agent, wherein the first home agent receives a plurality of messages addressed for a home address. The home agent may forward the messages to the WTRU at a first care-of-address. The WTRU may send a binding update to the first home agent. The binding update may comprise a second traffic selector and a second action. The second action may specify that a second message of the plurality of messages is to be forwarded to a different WTRU when the second message matches the second traffic selector.

摘要: A relay wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a direct communication request (DCR) from a remote WTRU requesting connectivity service (e.g., connectivity session parameters such as single-network slice selection assistance (S-NSSA!), data network name (DNN)). The relay may determine that the connectivity session for the service is subject to a secondary authentication and authorization (A&A), based on an indication associated with the connectivity session if already established and/or an indication associated DN from relay proximity service (ProSe) configuration. Based on the determination, the relay may trigger a network-controlled authorization for the remote WTRU. The relay WTRU may send a direct communication accept (DCA) message including a pending secondary A&A. and configure a traffic filter associated with the connection (e.g., a PC5 link) to discard data traffic from the remote WTRU until a successful completion of the secondary A&A.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for dynamic PC5 communication adaptation. For example, a UE may receive, from a vehicle-to-everything control function (V2X CF) or a vehicle-to-everything application server (V2X AS), a V2X provisioning message that includes a first transmission profile and determine, based on the first transmission profile, a first range to configure PC5 communication of a plurality of UEs associated with the V2X platoon. When a number of UEs joining the V2X platoon exceeds a certain threshold, the UE may transmit, to the V2X CF or the V2X AS, a modification request message requesting a second transmission profile. The UE may receive, from the V2X CF or the V2X AS, a modification response message that includes the second transmission profile and determine, based on the second transmission profile, a second range to reconfigure the PC5 communication of the plurality of UEs associated with the V2X platoon.

摘要: Embodiments contemplate that the transfer of an Internet Protocol (IP) address from one (e.g. a first) Gateway (GW) to another (e.g. a second) Gateway (GW) may improve the Dynamic Mobility Management (DMM) handling in any network environment, including a dense network environment. Embodiments contemplate a dense network may enable a User Equipment (UE or wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)) to be connected to the closest GW while the IP address transfer may enable the usage of a relatively short data path (e.g. perhaps a “shortest” data path), which may be useful in the context of DMM, perhaps even for existing flows. Using the contemplated capability of moving IP addresses may minimize the number of IP addresses allocated and/or the number of tunnels to be maintained.
