Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for switching serialization techniques for handling concurrent write requests to a shared file. A first node serializes write requests from client nodes to write to the shared file. The first node determines whether to switch to a second node to manage write quests to the shared file based on a pattern of write requests to the shared file. The client nodes are notified to direct write requests to the shared file to the second node in response to determining to switch to the second node. The second node processes write requests to the shared file to serialize writes to the shared file after the client nodes are notified to submit the write requests to the shared file to the second node.

Abstract: A method includes determining a plurality of voice assistance systems located in a plurality of environments and receiving, from a headset of a user, a voice command from the user. The voice command lacks an identifier for a first voice assistance system of the plurality of voice assistance systems in a first environment of the plurality of environments. The method also includes predicting, based on the voice command, a subset of the plurality of voice assistance systems for executing the voice command and communicating, to the headset, images of environments of the plurality of environments in which the subset of the plurality of voice assistance systems are located. The method further includes detecting that the user selected, from the images, an image of the first environment that contains the first voice assistance system and in response, communicating the voice command to the first voice assistance system.

Abstract: Embodiments for managing a wireless communication network by one or more processors are described. The presence of a plurality of mobile electronic devices within a wireless communication network is detected. A device-to-device (D2D) connectability score for each of the plurality of mobile electronic devices is calculated. The calculating of the D2D connectability score for each of the plurality of mobile electronic devices is based on a security posture of the respective mobile electronic device, a privacy posture of the respective mobile electronic device, or a combination thereof. A signal representative of the calculated D2D connectability score for each of the plurality of mobile electronic devices is generated.

Abstract: Online file system consistency check for container data on a clustered file system is provided via identifying inodes (index nodes) of a group of files in a clustered file system based on a cyber-resiliency for the clustered file system; grouping the inodes based on a buffer size allocated to a FSCK (File System Consistency Check) operation; passing the inodes of to the FSCK operation in a single iteration when a total size of the inodes is less than the buffer size; or when the total size of the inodes is greater than the buffer size, identifying inodes that belong to a first container and that belong to a second container; passing the inodes that belong to the first container to the FSCK operation in a first iteration; and passing, after the first iteration completes, the inodes that belong to the second container to the FSCK operation in a second iteration.

Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for determining an encryption technique for a modified data object to backup. Deep data inspection is performed on an object using a natural language processing module to determine facets for the object. The facets provide facet values for instances of sensitive information in the object. The facet values for the object are processed to determine a cumulative facet value. A determination is made of an encryption technique comprising one of a plurality of different encryption techniques to use on the object based on the cumulative facet value. The determined encryption technique is used to encrypt the object to transfer to a backup storage.
