Abstract: A bag-making and packaging machine includes a bag-making and packaging section and a film supply section. The film supply section includes a film conveyance section that conveys a starting end portion of a replacement film roll supported by a film roll support portion to a bonding portion. The film conveyance section includes a clamping portion that holds a tape adhering to the starting end portion of the replacement film roll, and a pulling mechanism that pulls a second film held by the clamping portion from the replacement film roll. When the replacement film roll is mounted, the film roll support portion rotates the replacement film roll, and the clamping portion holds the tape of the replacement film roll rotated by the film roll support portion.

Abstract: A bag-making and packaging machine includes sealing jaws, a horizontal moving device, a vertical moving device, and a control unit. The sealing jaws perform a transverse sealing operation. The vertical moving device moves the sealing jaws in a vertical direction. The vertical moving device includes a rotating shaft, a motor, and a link mechanism. The link mechanism transmits rotational force of the rotating shaft to the sealing jaws. The control unit performs first control or second control. The first control forwardly rotates and reversely rotates the rotating shaft during a period of time from a start of the transverse sealing operation to a start of a subsequent transverse sealing operation. The second control performs one of the transverse sealing operation and the subsequent transverse sealing operation with a forward rotation of the rotating shaft and the other with a reverse rotation of the rotating shaft.

Abstract: Certain implementations provide a form-fill-seal machine that can efficiently seal a packaging material. The transverse sealing unit may have first members to sandwich the packaging material and sealing the packaging material in a transverse direction, and second members for squeezing the packaging material while sandwiching the packaging material with a prescribed gap left therebetween. The control unit may cause the packaging material to be squeezed by the second members by causing the transverse sealing unit located at a reference position to descend faster than the packaging material being conveyed downward. The control unit may cause the transverse sealing unit to ascend while the packaging material is being sealed by the first members. The control unit may cause the transverse sealing unit to move such that the first members are separated from the packaging material.
