    摘要: A pipe coupling 1 for connecting together two pipes in a fluid-tight manner comprising an outer tubular casing 10, an inner tubular casing 20 and a tubular sealing sleeve 30. The sealing sleeve 30 has two sets of inwardly projecting ribs 32, which in use, are pressed into sealing engagement with the respective ends of the pipes. The inner and outer casings are longitudinally split and tensioning screws 17 on the outer casing can be tightened to tighten the outer casing around the inner casing and the sealing sleeve. Frusto-conical gripping rings 40 grip the pipes by engaging radial abutment surfaces facing away from the pipe ends and positioned close to the ends of said pipes in order to secure the pipes against axial displacement.

    摘要: An omnidirectional quad-loop antenna has four open circular wire loops, each being the same length as the wavelength of a Wi-Fi signal. The loops are joined at their tops and each lies in a distinct plane that is rotated 45 degrees with respect to each adjoining wire loop. The bottom terminal ends of the loops are configured to connect to the outer conductor of a coaxial cable. A helical wire coil may be connected at one end to the loops at the connection point, or insulated from the loops, and the other end is configured to connect to the inner conductor of the cable. With the antenna and cable connected to a router, the Wi-Fi signal is much stronger, in any direction, than without. The compact antenna fits within the volume of a sphere with a circumference corresponding to the wavelength.

    摘要: For automatically identifying a failure in a logical circuit in a data network without manual intervention, the logical circuit includes one or more logical connections for communicating data in the data network. A network management module periodically requests trap data indicating the status of the logical connections in the logical circuit. After the trap data has been received by the network management module, the trap data is analyzed to determine whether any of the logical connections has failed. If it is determined that a logical connection has failed, the network management module may wait a predetermined time period to determine whether the failed logical connection has been restored. If after the predetermined time period the logical connection has not been restored, then the logical circuit is identified as having failed.

    摘要: A method and system are provided for automatically rerouting logical circuit data from a physical circuit failure in a data network. When a failure in a logical circuit is detected, a label or services name associated with the logical circuit is automatically associated with a logical circuit identifier utilized for identifying the logical circuit in the 10 data network. Once the logical circuit is associated with the logical circuit identifier, the logical circuit data may be automatically rerouted to a “failover network,” thereby minimizing lost data until the failure in the logical circuit is resolved. The logical failover circuit may be an already existing logical circuit provisioned over a dedicated backup physical circuit in the data network.
