摘要： A filter-manufacturing apparatus comprises a cutting drum, which has transporting grooves and adapted to receive filter rods having a prescribed length. An annular slit is formed in the circumference of the cutting drum. A circular cutting blade extends into the annular slit in a rotatable manner. A rod-shaped stopper is movably arranged in each transporting groove, and the distance between each stopper and the annular slit is adjustable such that it corresponds to the length of a filter plug to be cut from a filter rod. The cutting drum comprises a pushing mechanism for moving the filter rod along the transporting groove against the stopper by jetting air, whereby the filter rod is cut by the cutting blade, with its one and abutting against the stopper. A receiving drum with receiving grooves is in rolling contact with the cutting drum. The receiving drum rotates such that the receiving grooves come into alignment with the transporting grooves of the cutting drum. The receiving drum is provided with a transfer mechanism. This transfer mechanism sucks only the filter plug cut from the filter rod held in the transporting groove and transfers it into the receiving groove. The transfer mechanism causes the remaining part of the filter rod to be held in the transporting groove, in order for the remaining part to be carried again to the cutting blade with the rotation of the cutting drum.

摘要： A receiving/delivering apparatus for rod-shaped objects, according to the present invention, comprises a transport trough having a guide groove for guiding the objects by transported by an air current, a driving pulley located over the groove, first and second driven pulley located over the guide groove, respectively, on the upper-course side of the driving pulley with respect to the transportation direction of the objects, an endless rubber belt stretched between the driving pulley and the first driven pulley, the belt including a belt portion between the driving pulley and the first driven pulley, and running in the same direction as the transportation direction, the belt portion having a parallel portion between the first and second driven pulleys, and adapted to be in contact with the objects in the guide groove, and a slanting portion inclined at a predetermined angle, so as to be more distant from the guide groove than from the second driven pulley, and a pair of acceleration rollers positioned beside that end portion of the transport trough on the lower-course side with respect to the transportation direction.

摘要： A transport system for rod-shaped objects, according to the present invention, comprises a feeder unit for delivering the rod-shaped objects, one by one, a transport pipe connected at one end to the feeder unit, and adapted to transport the objects, a receiving unit connected to the other end of the transport pipe, a blower unit for circulating compressed air in the transport pipe, from the feeder unit toward the receiving unit, so that the objects therein are transported through the pipe, from the feeder unit to the receiving unit, by the current of compressed air; a detecting switch for detecting any jamming of the objects in a transport path, extending from the feeder unit into the receiving unit, and a pressure relief unit mounted on a part of the transport pipe near the receiving unit, whereby the compressed air is released from the transport pipe into the atmosphere, the pressure relief unit being adapted to be actuated when jamming of the objects is detected by the detecting switch.

摘要： A filter cigarette-manufacturing apparatus having a filter-supplying drum with grooves cut in its periphery, extending parallel to its axis, and spaced at equal intervals along the periphery. Two tip-bypassing drums are in rolling contact with the filter-supplying drum, and a tip-bypassing drum is in rolling contact with tip-bypassing drum. Each of these drums has similar grooves spaced along the periphery at the same intervals as those of the filter-supplying drum. Filter tips obtained by cutting a filter rod are supplied into one of the grooves of the filter-supplying drum. The tip-bypassing drums cooperate with the filter-supplying drum to bypass all the tips, except one which is transported forward by the filter-supplying drum. The other tips are finally fed from the tip-bypassing drums back to the filter-supplying drum, are spaced from the one tip by different distances defined by different numbers of grooves along the periphery of said filter-supplying drum, and then are transported forward as said filter-supplying drum rotates. As a result, the filter tips and other tips produced by cutting other filter rods are sequentially distributed into those grooves of said filter-supplying drum which are located downstream of said filter tip-bypassing drums.

摘要： An apparatus of this invention has a parts feeder unit, and this parts feeder unit has a plurality of parts feed countries. Guide pipe paths are respectively connected to these parts feed ports. Aligning units are arranged midway along these guide pipe paths, respectively. All small articles are aligned by these aligning units in the same direction. Outlet heads are arranged at lower end portions of the guide pipe paths, respectively. An aligning plate and a matrix plate are arranged below these outlet heads. The small articles fed from the outlet head are stored in the matrix plate in a matrix form within the matrix plate in an aligned state. These small articles are stored in the matrix plate by a drop pleich. These small articles are held in this matrix plate by the drop plate. Upon movement of the drop plate in the horizontal direction, these small articles drop and are respectively stored in storage holes of a tray.

摘要： A device for aligning rod-like matters, different in diameter at their heads and tails, in a direction while locating their heads forward in this direction. The device has a drum freely rotatable in a plane along the flow of the matters and provided with a groove on and along the circumference of the drum. The groove has a width larger than the diameter of the tails of the matters but smaller than that of the heads thereof. The matters transmitted onto the upper circumference portion of the drum are hung in the groove on the circumference of the drum. Keeping their heads hooked by both side rims of the groove and located upward while leaving their tails suspended in the groove. The device also has a feed-in conveyor system and a feed-out conveyor system. The feed-in conveyor system feeds the matters to the drum successively. The feed-out conveyor system receives the matters hung in the groove at the upper circumference portion of the drum in such a way that the tails of the matters hung in the groove are contacted at first with the feed-out conveyor system. The speed of the feed-out conveyor system is different from the peripheral speed of the drum.
