Abstract: An additive manufacturing method for a 3D object is provided and includes (a) providing a 3D digital model of the 3D object; (b) dividing the 3D digital model into repeat arrangement of at least one type of polyhedral 3D units and an X-Y plane is an acute angle or an obtuse angle; (c) cutting the 3D digital model along a Z-axis into a plurality of 2D slices; (d) defining a scanning path covering one of the 2D slices; (e) providing an energy beam to a material on a working plane along the scanning path to form a construction layer corresponding to the one of the 2D slices; and (f) repeating the steps (d) and (e) to build up the 3D object by adding a plurality of construction layers in sequence.

The composite beam generator comprises: a beam splitter for splitting a beam into a first directed beam and a second directed beam; a beam shaper for shaping a transverse energy distribution profile of the second directed beam to non-circular; at least one beam delivery unit for guiding the first directed beam or the second directed beam; and a beam combiner for receiving the first directed beam and the second directed beam, and respectively generating a first output beam and a second output beam, and combining them into the composite beam.

Abstract: A powder shaping method comprises: providing a powder on a target surface; providing a laser beam to illuminate the powder so as to form a pre-treated powder; and providing an energy beam to illuminate the pre-treated powder for enabling a shaping process. In addition, a powder shaping apparatus comprises a base, a target surface, a powder supply unit and an energy beam source system. The target surface is disposed on the base and can be fixed or moved on the base. The powder supply unit provides a powder on the target surface. The energy beam source system has a laser source and an energy source, the laser source provides a laser beam to illuminate the powder to form a pre-treated powder, and the energy source provides an energy beam to further illuminate the pre-treated powder to make a shaping process.

Abstract: A spectrum detecting device including a laser apparatus, an optical splitting apparatus, an optical gate, a first polarizer, a second polarizer, and an optical analysis apparatus is provided. The optical splitting apparatus splits the laser beam providing from the laser apparatus into a first and a second light beam, and the second light beam is transmitted to a sample to produce a spectral signal. The optical gate activated by the first light beam is disposed between the optical analysis apparatus and the sample. The first polarizer is disposed between the sample and the optical gate, and the second polarizer is disposed between the optical gate and the optical analysis apparatus. The spectral signal passes through the first polarizer, the optical gate, and the second polarizer to be transmitted and received to the optical analysis apparatus when the optical gate is activated and turned on in a predetermined time period.
