    摘要: A WTRU may initiate access for a PDU session over multiple access networks. The WTRU may register with two or more access networks. For example, the WTRU may register with a 3GPP access network (e.g., LTE Advanced) and a non-3GPP access network (e.g., Wi-Fi). The WTRU may determine to request a multi-access PDU session for a (e.g., at least one) PDU session. A multi-access PDU session may correspond to a PDU session where the WTRU communicates one or more PDUs associated with the PDU session over the 3GPP access network and one or more PDUs associated with the PDU session over the non-3GPP access network. The WTRU may receive a confirmation message indicating that a multi-access PDU session has been established. The WTRU may send uplink data over the 3GPP access network and the non-3GPP access network, e.g., in accordance with the established multi-access PDU session.

    摘要: A system and apparatus for addressing the different types of mobility of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) in a network. A radio access network (RAN) may send a request for configuration information to a gateway device including a device ID of a WTRU, a service ID, and a RAN address. Once the RAN receives configuration information from the gateway device including a forwarding table, the RAN may be prepared to receive non-IP data from a WTRU including a routing tag. The routing tag may be based on the device ID of a WTRU and service ID. The RAN may transmit the non-IP data received from the WTRU to the gateway device over a routing path based on the routing tag and a forwarding table where the non-IP data is forwarded on to its detention, such as another WTRU or an Application Server.

A WTRU may receive updated assistance information for network slice selection and/or reselection. The WTRU may apply local policies to determine when to use the updated assistance information to access a network slice. The WTRU may determine whether to contact an existing network slice function or a new network slice function to establish a connection to a network slice. Based on the determination, the WTRU may transmit different information to the network. The network slice selection and/or reselection may be initiated by a WTRU or by a network.

An apparatus is configured to initiate a Service Request with a non-dedicated network node. The apparatus is configured to receive a special identifier in response to the Service Request, which indicates the apparatus should be redirected to a dedicated CN node based on subscription information. Radio access network resources associated with the apparatus may be released and the apparatus may then perform a tracking area update (TAU) request which is then forwarded to the dedicated CN node.

    摘要: Techniques for congestion management in a communication network are contemplated. For example, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may include a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer and a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) layer. The RRC layer may receive an indication for a service, for example from the NAS. The indication may be interpreted as a request for the particular service indicated. For example, the indicated service may correspond to at least one of: a mobile originated (MO) voice communication, a circuit switched fallback (CSFB) supplementary service (SS), or a MO short message service (SMS). The RRC layer may receive a signal from a network indicating that one or more services provided by the network are allowed. The RRC layer may send a connection request to the network for the service sought by the NAS if that service is one of the one or more services allowed.

    摘要: Location and other status information may be communicated between Proximity Service (ProSe) users. A ProSe function may retrieve a ProSe WTRU's location data from SLP and provide it to a monitoring WTRU via a ProSe discovery procedure or EPC-level ProSe discovery procedure. A ProSe function may retrieve a ProSe WTRU's location data from a ProSe WTRU and provide it to monitoring WTRUs via a ProSe discovery procedure. A ProSe WTRU may broadcast its location and/or other status information in a discovery message. A ProSe function may encrypt the location and/or other status information for encryption before broadcast. A ProSe WTRU may send its location and/or other status information via a user plane to another ProSe WTRU or ProSe group. A ProSe function may verify whether a WTRU is permitted to disclose and/or process information (e.g., location information) and may indicate to a WTRU whether to disclose information, e.g., before the information is disclosed, and/or whether to process the information.

A V2X wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a vehicle to everything (V2X) message including configuration information and a road side unit (RSU) address. The WTRU may then transmit a message to the RSU according to the configuration information including multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS) data. The configuration information may include a MBMS service descriptor. One or more of the V2X messages may include priority information, WTRU type information, or both.
