Abstract: One or more embodiments are described for function-message identifier oriented test case generation for seamlessly supporting continuous globalization verification testing in agile computer program product development. An example computer-implemented method includes identifying a newly added globalization function in a modified source code, the globalization function including a message to be output via a user-interface, the message being in a first language. The method also includes generating function-message data that associates a function identifier of the globalization function with a message identifier of the message. The method also includes generating, automatically, a test case for verifying the globalization function outputs the message via the user-interface in a second language using the function-message data. The method also includes creating and broadcasting a test report to a development team, the test report indicating a result of executing the test case.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems and computer program products method for generating one or more new glyphs by combining one or more available radicals. The computer-implemented method includes receiving, using a processor, a glyph determined to be unavailable for a character representation within text. The processor identifies one or more structures and radicals associated with the unavailable glyph for the character. The processor further searches for a replacement glyph or portions thereof from a group of available glyphs. The processor combines the replacement glyph or portions thereof to form a new glyph. The processor further replaces the unavailable glyph with the new glyph. The processor further displays the new glyph in the text at a location associated with the unavailable glyph.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, program products, and systems to increase efficiency in message oriented middleware. Embodiments of the present invention can, responsive to receiving from an application an open request for a queue alias of a queue manager, provide to the application target cache information which includes a target name and a change flag count associated with the queue alias. Embodiments of the present invention can, responsive to receiving a message from the application that includes respective target cache information including a target name and a change flag count, determine a target location, wherein if the change flag count of the received message matches a current change flag count of the queue alias, the determined target location is a target location associated with the received target name.

Abstract: One or more computer processors identify a string within source code associated with a program integrated interface (PII). The one or more computer processors compare the identified string to a string entry comprised in a PII dictionary. The one or more computer processors, responsive to a match between the identified string and the string entry in the PII dictionary, classify the identified string as translatable or non-translatable based on a classification associated with the string entry. The one or more computer processors, responsive to a non-match between the identified string and the string entry in the PII dictionary, classify the identified string as translatable or non-translatable utilizing a hyperplane model trained with a margin (C) derived from unlimited search. The one or more computer processors, responsive to a classified translatable string, translate the classified translatable string.

Abstract: An embodiment includes establishing a demand threshold for adding a locale to an installation list based at least in part on selection data indicative of an input from a user. The embodiment also includes monitoring user inputs to a cloud computing environment so as to detect user inputs that include requests to install the locale. The embodiment also includes dynamically updating a demand score associated with the locale based on ongoing detection of locale installation requests during the monitoring of user inputs. The embodiment also includes automatically adding the locale to the installation list upon detecting that the demand score satisfied the demand threshold.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a server, a request from a user for translation of a multi-format embedded file (MFEF) document, where the MFEF document includes a plurality of embedded elements. Responsive to the request for the MFEF document, the server automatically identifies element types of the embedded elements, where the embedded elements include a first element type and a second element type. The server also identifies foreign-language embedded elements from among the plurality of embedded elements, where the foreign-language embedded elements are embedded elements that are in a language other than a preferred language of the user. The server selects translators to translate the foreign-language embedded elements, including selecting a first translator for translating the first element type of foreign-language embedded elements and a second translator for translating the second element type of foreign-language embedded elements.

Abstract: Adaptive pseudo translation provides dynamic adjustment of a generated pseudo translation based on one or more rules and one or more dynamically detected parameters. Data is received and an adaptive pseudo translation is initiated. A string is extracted from the received data and an encoding and a language of the string are detected. A target language is proactively selected based on a parameter. A buffer size is dynamically determined based on the detected encoding, detected language, and target language. The extracted string is dynamically transformed into pseudo translated text based on the buffer size. The dynamically generated pseudo translation provides a highly accurate mock translation to one or more target languages.

Abstract: Converting data for an application ported from an operating system (OS) platform of a first computer to an OS platform of a second computer. Configuration information associated with ported application including the first computer's OS platform is stored on the second computer. The ported application executing on the second computer receives first data encoded in a first code set. The OS of the second computer receives a request to convert the first data to a second data encoded in a second code set, locates a first-code-set-to-second-code-set mapping based on at least maintained code set mappings of the OS of the first computer, and converts the first data to the second data using the located first-code-set-to-second-code-set mapping. The second data is compatible for processing on the second computer and output from converting the data on the second computer is equivalent to an output from converting the data on the first computer.
