摘要: A dynamic pressure generation portion is formed on the outer circumferential surface 2a1 of a shaft portion 2a. This allows for forming a bearing member 7 into which a housing and a sleeve-shaped member that were conventionally separately configured due to the machinability of the dynamic pressure generation portion are integrated. The opening at one end of the bearing member 7 is sealed with a cover member 8 integrated with the bearing member 7 or with a separate cover member 8 secured to the bearing member 7.

摘要: A fluid dynamic bearing device includes a housing injection molded with a bearing sleeve as an insert. Accordingly, the molding of the housing and the assembly of the housing and the bearing sleeve can be performed in a single step. In addition to this, by simply increasing the die precisions the housing and the bearing sleeve can be fixed easily with high precision. Since the housing is opened at both ends, it is possible to sandwich the bearing sleeve, and accordingly, the bearing sleeve can be accurately positioned inside the dies with reliability.

摘要: An outer peripheral surface (8d) of a bearing sleeve (8) is formed on a radially inside with respect to a first dynamic pressure generation portion (B1). In this case, it is possible to reduce a thickness of the bearing sleeve (8) while securing a first thrust dynamic pressure generating portion (B1) which has a thrust load capacity equivalent to that in a conventional case where a thrust dynamic pressure generating portion is formed in an end surface of the bearing sleeve. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the thickness of the bearing sleeve (8) without sacrificing a bearing performance in a thrust direction. With this structure, a total amount of a lubricating oil sealed in a bearing device can be reduced, thereby reducing a capacity of a buffering function so as to downsize a sealing portion (9), and by extension, downsizing a fluid dynamic bearing device (1).

摘要: An inner peripheral surface and a lower end surface of a bearing sleeve made of a sintered metal are each formed into a smooth cylindrical surface or a flat surface that does not have a dynamic pressure generating portion. Thus, a step of forming the dynamic pressure generating portion can be omitted from a manufacturing step of the bearing sleeve, and cost of dies can be markedly reduced. Further, the inner peripheral surface of the bearing sleeve is formed into the smooth cylindrical surface, and hence a radial dynamic pressure generating portion is formed on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft member. However, the outer peripheral surface of the shaft portion is accessible to tools, and hence the radial dynamic pressure generating portion can be formed easily with high accuracy. As a result, accuracy of a radial bearing gap is enhanced so that a bearing rigidity is enhanced.
