Abstract: There are provided a display panel with a touch detector that allows the touch detection electrodes to be less visible, a touch panel, and an electronic unit having the display panel with a touch detector. The display panel with a touch detector includes: a display layer including a plurality of display elements arranged side by side; and an electrode layer alternately segmented into first regions and second regions along a first direction, the electrode layer including a plurality of first slits arranged side by side to extend in a second direction, and a plurality of second slits each allowing an adjacent pair of the plurality of first slits in the second regions to be in communication with one another.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a touch detection device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate opposed to the first substrate; a cover base material opposed to the second substrate; a plurality of first electrodes overlapping a display region on a plane parallel with the first substrate; and a second electrode arranged at the cover base material and overlapping a frame region outside the display region. Proximity or contact of an object with respect to the frame region is detected based on capacitance between the first electrodes and the second electrode. Abstract: According to an aspect, a touch detection device includes: a plurality of drive electrodes arranged in parallel with each other; and a plurality of first touch detection electrodes arranged in parallel with each other and arranged at a portion not in contact with the drive electrodes and where the first touch detection electrode forms capacitance with a drive electrode to which a drive signal is output. The drive electrode including the subdivided electrodes is provided such that switching is enabled between a first mode in which the drive signal is collectively output to the subdivided electrodes of the drive electrode and a second mode in which the drive signal is individually output to each of the subdivided electrodes of the drive electrode.

Abstract: A performance of a display device having an input device is improved. A display device includes: an electro-optical layer; a first driving electrode and a second driving electrode which drives the electro-optical layer; a driver chip which outputs a video signal; a switch circuit which is arranged outside the driver chip, which selects a potential to be supplied to the second driving electrode, and which includes a first switch element and a second switch element; a shift register circuit connected to the switch circuit; and a detection circuit which detects that an object is close or in contact. Each of the first switch element and the second switch element is selectively turned ON or OFF by the shift register circuit. The detection circuit is electrically connected to the first switch element and the second switch element.

Abstract: An image quality of a display device is improved. The display device includes: a display unit having a display functional layer; a cover member having a front surface and a back surface positioned on an opposite side of the front surface and covering the display unit; and a polarizing plate having a front surface so as to oppose the back surface of the cover member through a space spreading along the back surface of the cover member.
