摘要： A shaving apparatus is provided having at least one shaving unit comprising an external shaving member (3) and an internal shaving member (4) which is rotatably drivable relative to the external shaving member, the external shaving member having an annular wall portion (5) with lamellae (7) which extend in substantially radial directions and between which hair-entry apertures are formed, the radial ends (13) of the lamellae having a rounding radius (R) of 0.3-0.7 mm viewed in a radial direction, and the internal shaving member (4) comprising cutters (9) having cutting edges (10) which describe a path (11) adjoining the inner side (12) of the annular wall portion (5) of the external shaving member. In order to improve the shaving performance the shaving apparatus is characterized in that, viewed in radial cross-section, at least a part (14) of the outer side of the annular wall portion (5), which part is situated opposite the annular path (11) of the cutting edges (10), has an outwardly directed arcuate shape, the perpendicular distance (15) between the axially outermost point (16) of this arcuate part (14) and a line through those points (18, 19) of the outer side of the annular wall portion, which are situated directly opposite the inner diameter (20) and the outer diameter (21), respectively, of the annular path (11), being 12-100 .mu.m

摘要： A device for cooking food such as rice is configured to perform a cooking process which is performed by heating the food under the influence of boiling water during a period of time. The device includes a controller for controlling an operation of the device. The controller is configured o operate components of the device in such a way that a total quantity of water to be used in the cooking process is gradually supplied to the food. The supply of a major portion of the total quantity of the water is performed when the cooking process is already taking place. In one embodiment, the cooking process is initiated by evaporating a relatively small portion of the total quantity of the water to steam, supplying this steam to the food, and allowing this steam to condense on the food.

A duct system (30) of the beverage making unit (1) has a main duct (31), a first subsidiary duct (32) which merges into the main duct (31), and a second subsidiary duct (33) which merges into the main duct (31) as well, at a different position than the first subsidiary duct (32). In a process of preparing a beverage, a first fluid is supplied by the main duct (31), and flows of a second fluid are supplied by the subsidiary ducts (32, 33). In this way, it is achieved that the second fluid is mixed with the first fluid in two steps. In case the second fluid is used for heating the first fluid, local boiling of the first fluid is prevented.

摘要： A system for preparing a beverage comprises a beverage maker (15) and a cartridge (10) that is removably arranged in the beverage maker (15). The cartridge (10) comprises a beverage making unit (1) having a duct system (30) for conveying flows of steam and flows of liquid. The duct system (30) comprises two combinations of ducts (31, 32; 41, 42), wherein the arrangement of the ducts (31, 32; 41, 42) of each combination is adapted to enabling a flow of steam to perform a pumping action on a flow of liquid. The beverage maker (15) comprises a steam generator (16) having two steam sockets (17, 18), wherein each of the steam sockets (17, 18) is in communication with another combination of ducts (31, 32; 41, 42) of the duct system (30). As each of the combinations of ducts (31, 32; 41, 42) is associated with a different steam inlet (36, 46), and the steam inlets (36, 46) may be located at different positions on the cartridge (10), it is achieved that the duct system (30) may be of a relatively simple design.
