    摘要: A washing machine includes a housing which forms an exterior of the washing machine and a tub mounted inside of the housing, the tub having an opening through which laundry may be inserted and removed. A drum is rotatably mounted inside of the tub, the drum having an opening substantially aligned with the opening of the tub, through which laundry may be inserted and removed. A foreign matter shield is configured to prevent foreign matter from entering a space between the tub and the drum by maintaining a gap between the opening of the drum and the tub at a predetermined size during movement of the drum relative to the tub from an initial position to a lower position.

    摘要: There is provided a daily activity recognition system using sensors installed in required positions in a home to recognize daily activities of an old person, the system including: a radio frequency (RF) management unit receiving data measured by a plurality of sensors installed in required positions in a home, recognizing a corresponding sensor transmitting the received data, and converting the received data into a basic activity corresponding to the recognized sensor; a buffer management unit storing the basic activity received from the wireless processing manager in an internal buffer; and a daily activity recognition unit recognizing daily activities of an old person at each point in time previously set, based on the basic activity stored in the buffer. The daily activities of the old person are recognized and stored in a database, thereby providing various services related to the health of the old person.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention may provide an apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a random access channel (RACH) in a single carrier-frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system. A frequency domain RACH signal may be mapped to a localized sub-frequency band of an entire frequency band available to the SC-FDMA system. A guard band including at least one sub carrier may be allocated between the RACH signal band and other channel signal bands. A guard time may be allocated between the RACE signal and other channel signals in the time domain. The RACH signal may include a short message including information related to a mobile station. The RACE signal may be detected in a frequency based method, a time based method or a sliding matched filter based method. Receiver complexity can be decreased if the RACH signal includes a CAZAC code sequence for a preamble. In such a case, a receive delay may be simply calculated and then adjusted more accurately.
