Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device, includes a first substrate including a first insulating substrate, a first thin film positioned on the first insulating substrate, and a first alignment layer positioned on the first thin film and including a first exposing area that exposes the first thin film, a second substrate facing the first substrate and including a second insulating substrate, a spacer positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate and including at least a part that corresponds to the first exposing area, and a liquid crystal layer positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate.
Abstract:
In a method of manufacturing a single-layer cholesteric liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal composition of a cholesteric phase is formed between a first substrate and a second substrate. A plurality of liquid crystal layers are formed by sequentially adjusting the temperature of the cholesteric phase liquid crystal composition and performing a plurality of optical curing processes on the cholesteric phase liquid crystal composition. Each of the plurality of liquid crystal layers corresponds to one of the plurality of subpixels.
Abstract:
Provided are a pass gate circuit and a method of controlling the same for improving meta-stability when transferring signals. The gate circuit includes a signal transfer unit transferring an input signal in response to a transfer control signal, and a control signal generating unit generating a safety window having a predetermined width in response to detection of a transition of the input signal, generating an internal control signal for maintaining the signal transfer state of the signal transfer unit, and outputting the internal control signal to the signal transfer unit as the transfer control signal.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transceiving a multi-view video to provide a two-dimensional (2D) video service as well as a three-dimensional (3D) video service or a multi-view 3D video service is provided. When a 2D video or a 3D stereo video or multi-view 3D video is transmitted in a 2D video synthesized by a video synthesizer, format supplementary information about the synthesized video is inserted to the PSI, PES or ES_Descriptor. The synthesized 2D video is decoded by a single video decoder and the decoded synthesized video is recovered to an original video by a video recovery unit with reference to the format supplementary information.
Abstract:
A method of testing a semiconductor device includes respectively applying first to n-th voltages that change according to time to first to n-th semiconductor devices that are substantially same until the first to n-th semiconductor devices break down; calculating first to n-th stresses that define the total amount of stress respectively applied to the first to n-th semiconductor devices until a time when the first to n-th semiconductor devices break down, respectively, after the first to n-th voltages are applied; and calculating lifespan of the first to n-th semiconductor devices by using the first to n-th stresses.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for measuring an antenna gain. The apparatus includes an antenna gain-to-noise-temperature (G/T) ratio calculator for calculating a G/T ratio using a reception noise power measured while an antenna is tracking the sun, a noise temperature measurer for measuring a noise temperature when a signal is transmitted or received through the antenna, and an antenna gain calculator for calculating an antenna gain using the calculated G/T ratio and the measured noise temperature. Thus, it is possible to easily measure the antenna gain of a ground station without a reference antenna or a satellite-mounted device capable of functioning as a reference antenna.
