摘要： Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a mixture of hyaluronic acid and liposomes. Preferably, the pharmaceutical compositions further include a pharmaceutically active substance such as cyclosporin A encapsulated in the liposomes. A method for preparing a pharmaceutical composition includes producing liposomes from phospholipids, preferably in the presence of a pharmaceutically active substance (most preferably cyclosporin A) to be encapsulated within the liposomes, and mixing the liposomes with hyaluronic acid. Pharmaceutical compositions of this invention are used, for example, to topically administer pharmaceutical agents effective to treat skin disorders by deposition of that agent in the dermis or sub-dermis while minimizing systemic circulation thereof. These compositions are also administered orally, parenterally and intrarectally.

摘要： A method for partially freezing an aqueous mixture comprising simultaneously or in either order the steps of: placing said aqueous mixture in contact with at least part of a freezing surface; cooling the freezing surface to below the freezing point of the aqueous mixture; so that ice forms at the freezing surface; and oscillating the freezing surface relative to the aqueous mixture in a direction that is not perpendicular to at least part of the freezing surface; characterised in that the oscillation is linear with a frequency of between 20 and 200 Hz.

摘要： A dry powder inhaler is provided which comprises a reservoir of medicament powder, a dispensing chamber for receiving a charge of powder to be dispensed having a floor upon which the powder charge lies prior to inhalation, an inlet passage having at its outlet end a nozzle protruding into the dispensing chamber directed toward the floor thereof and an inhalation passage exiting from the chamber through which the powder may be inhaled entrained in air drawn into the inhaler through the air inlet passage. The inhalation passage has an inlet at the dispensing chamber and an outlet through which the powder may be inhaled and comprises a first upstream portion having a roof and a floor both of which rise progressively with respect to a straight line drawn form the center of the inlet to the center of the outlet ad a second portion having a roof and a floor both of which fall progressively with respect to the line in the downstream direction.
