    摘要: A novel catalyst system, a process for using the novel catalyst system, and a product made from the process is described. The novel catalyst system is specific for producing polyethylene terephthalate made from reacting terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, wherein the catalyst system includes at least 650 ppm antimony; cobalt and/or zinc, and at least one of zinc, magnesium, manganese or calcium. The antimony is generally present from about 650 ppm to about 1100 ppm. The cobalt and/or zinc is usually present from about 15 ppm to about 60 ppm, and the zinc, magnesium, manganese or calcium, as the third component, is generally present from about 10 ppm to about 150 ppm. The amounts of all catalyst components are based on the theoretical yield of the polymer. Using the novel catalyst system to produce PET drastically increases the polymerization rate. In the process, the novel catalyst system can be introduced any time before the polycondensation stage of the manufacturing process.

The truss structure transfers the firing and recoil loads directly to the stock and effectively isolates the receiver and forward barrel sections from the associated vibrations.

    摘要: A process for recycling polyester/cotton blends by reducing the polyester to a lower dialkyl ester of terephthalic acid and reducing the cotton to cellulose acetate. The novel process to recycle the polyester/cotton blends includes the steps of (a) providing a blend of polyester and cotton fibers; (b) subjecting the polyester/cotton blend to a first alcoholysis in a bath containing an alcohol and an effective catalyst at a suitable temperature until the polyester is depolymerized to a lower molecular weight polyester oligomer; (c) remove the cotton fibers from the alcoholic solution of oligomers and process the recovered cotton fibers by pulping and acetylyzing processes to recover the cellulose acetate; and (d) alcoholyze the low molecular weight polyester oligomers to produce the lower dialkyl ester of terephthalic acid.

A piston is slidably mounted in the housing at the first end of the bellows member for acting on the bellows member in response to a force applied to the piston so as to expand the bellows member in the first chamber and cushion the force. The bellows member returns to its original configuration and biases the piston back in a second direction opposite to the first direction on removal of the force.

    摘要: A fastener for fastening a unitary hand grip to a pistol having a butt frame section with downwardly extending front and rear butt portions that are interconnected at their lower ends by a foot portion. One embodiment of the fastener has a yoke straddling the foot portion of the butt section, a pin extending between the openings in the upper sides of the yoke above the foot portion, a roller on the pin, and a screw for attaching the bottom of the yoke to the bottom of the unitary hand grip. The upper sides of the yoke contain concave depressions or dimples around the pin openings and the pin is dimensioned to be flush with the side edges of the yoke. The inside of the unitary hand grip is close to the outer side edges of the yoke and the concave depressions plus the length of the pin and the nearness of the wall of the hand grip prevent the pin from being dislodged from the yoke, even by heavy use of the pistol or from other shocks encountered in use.
