In some embodiments, an automated insurance processing platform rates and prices insurance policies by including a territory factor in the calculation of a premium for the policy. Pursuant to some embodiments, the territory factor is calculated by receiving historical loss data, geographical data, and demographic data, analyzing the historical loss data, the geographical data, and the demographic data to identify data having similar claim behaviors. The historical loss data is analyzed to identify at least a frequency and severity of historical loss by coverage type. The frequency and severity of loss data, the geographical data, and the demographic data is iteratively analyzed to create a territory set having different geographical boundaries for the different coverage types; and the territory set is used to generate a set of territory factors for the different coverage types and the territories.

The computer system includes a plurality of processing units, each of the processing units being provided with a respective network identity for communication with the network. At least one service processor is operable to allocate network identities to the processing units. A switch is provided for interconnecting the processing units to the network. The switch is operable to maintain a record of the network identities allocated to the processing units by the service processor and filters network access by each processing unit such that network access is blocked where a processing unit identity does not correspond to that held by the switch. By maintaining a record of the network identities allocated to the processing units by the service processor in the switch and filtering network access, access by a processing unit that has been changed or where its network identity has otherwise changed, can be prevented, maintaining the integrity of the network.

摘要： The present invention allows originating equipment in a telephony network to originate multiple calls on behalf of a single user in response to a single user event. A user will provide multiple call indicia, perhaps in the form of a string of dialed digits, and a multiple call origination function located in the originating terminal, originating node supporting the originating terminal, or associated service node, will respond to the multiple call indicia as follows. Based on the multiple call indicia, multiple destinations associated with the multiple call indicia are identified. Multiple calls are initiated to the multiple destinations in a simultaneous or sequential fashion. A telephony connection for the call is established from the originating terminal to the first one of the multiple destinations to answer a call initiation attempt. If any other call initiation attempts are still in progress, they are stopped upon one of the destinations being answered.
