摘要: The inventive dispenser comprises a cap and dispenser tube assembly for delivering a foamed product below the surface of a liquid through the dispenser tube. The dispenser tube pivots between a dispensing position and a non-dispensing stowed position, which allows for convenient cleaning of the dispensing tube. The cap further comprises a removable portion between a first and second section of the cap that restricts movement to prevent operation of the dispensing valve until the removable portion is detached by the consumer. The cap also includes a tamper resistant removable pull tab for securing the dispenser tube in the stowed position until the pull tab is detached by the consumer.

摘要: A valve assembly for an aerosol can comprises a valve conduit having an inlet, an outlet, a valve seat in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet, and a resilient mounting of a valve member that permits relative movement of the valve member relative to the valve conduit. The valve member further comprises a valve element that is movable to sealingly engaging the valve seat, and a stem projecting from the valve member through the outlet of the valve conduit. During the movement of the valve member relative to the valve conduit, the movable tapered sealing surface associated with the valve member is configured to engage and concentrically align with a tapered valve seat on the valve conduit to establish an effective seal against the valve seat.

摘要: In a gun for dispensing a fluid component, a valve assembly controls the dispensing of the fluid component. The valve assembly includes a needle or valve member and a cup assembly having a passage for receiving the needle assembly. A channel system allows flow of the component through the passage past a seal. An actuator assembly may be provided for providing relative movement between the cup assembly and the needle assembly from a valve-closed position to a valve-open position in which the seal is located upstream from a downstream end of the channel system to permit flow of the component through the passage.

摘要: A system for dispensing polyurethane foam from DOT-39 compliant tank, includes a compressor having an outlet through which air is supplied, and a booster coupled to the outlet of the compressor. The booster provides a supply of compressed air at a pressure of between about 160 and about 200 pounds per square inch. At least two bladderless tanks having an internal volume sized less than 1,526 cubic inches to comply with DOT-39 specifications each contain a quantity of a polyurethane foam component that is sufficient to fill at least 70 percent of the internal volume of the bladderless tanks. A first valve on the bladderless tanks connects to the high pressure outlet of the booster. A second valve is adjacent the bottom of each bladderless tank. A dispenser for dispensing the polyurethane foam component is connected to the second valve on each of the bladderless tanks.

摘要: A cover and trigger assembly is provided that includes having a valve that can be actuated for dispensing the contents of the can through an outlet of the valve. The assembly includes an annular component having a helical surface is secured to the can, and a cover coupled to the annular component. The cover has an opening through which a trigger extends, and the cover is rotatable relative to the helical surface on the annular component for rotatably raising or lowering the cover relative to the annular component. The raising or lowering of the cover respectively prohibits or permits movement of the trigger member to actuate the valve, thereby controlling dispensing operation of the valve.

摘要: A composition of matter comprising a polyester capable of dissolving in an organic solvent, having a solids content of at least 75% by weight, at a viscosity of X-Z on the Garner scale, prepared by reacting an aromatic polycarboxylic acid, anhydride, or a functionally acid esterifiable derivative thereof, an aliphatic polycarboxylic acid, anhydride or a functionally acid esterifiable derivative thereof, an aliphatic polyol and a monofunctional fatty acid to an acid number less than about 10, and then reacting the product of that reaction with an aromatic or aliphatic polycarboxylic acid, anhydride or a functional acid esterifiable derivative thereof to an acid number greater than 10 and less than about 60, wherein the total reactants have a hydroxyl/carboxyl ratio of greater than 1; the amount of monofunctional fatty acid employed ranges from about 20 to about 50% of the total number of acid equivalents of the reactants and the amount of aromatic polycarboxylic acid reacted in the first step ranges from about 20% to about 50% of the total number of acid equivalents of the reactants. Also described is a coating composition employing the above described polyester in conjunction with a nitrogenous composition, preferably for coating metallic substrates.
