摘要： Catheter patency flow-flush controller comprising push-button valve mechanism with fast flow flush path surrounding the valve member, normally closed by a valve element and valve seat interposed between the inlet and outlet of the internal passageway of the controller by a coil spring located external of the internal passageway, the coil spring also compressively retaining a resilient seal at all times about the entry way through which the valve plunger enters the controller internal passageway. Preferably, the valve member push-button actuator includes a top cap member with dependent skirt which serves also as an alignment guide during valve movement by sliding engagement with an upwardly open skirt associated with the controller housing. Other features of the invention are also disclosed and claimed.

摘要： A disposable marker apparatus for use with low torque recorders includes a bifurcated body with two separate ink reservoirs in the first and second body segments interconnected by a connector segment. The connector segment includes an ink transmitting member. A stylus tube extends from the body. A pivot member is provided to engage an associate pivot support outwardly from said pen body. A substantial portion of the mass of the marker is below the connector segment and the pivot member. The result is a marker having a center of gravity below the pivot so that the swinging marker tends to stabilize after disturbance due to vibration or rapid marker excursion.

摘要： Easily removable instrument pen tip comprised of a body formed of resilient plastic with an ink passageway adapted to receive and sealingly engage an ink supply tube associated with a pen arm, the other end of which is adapted to receive and sealingly engage an elongated nib element, such as a stylus or fibrous nib. The pen tip body is a flat shaped member in which the passageway lies. The body may converge toward the ink passageway to serve as a visually indicating pointer. The body may also include locators or positioning ribs and reinforcing ribs. Preferably, the body and passageway include bent sections and the nib element and passageway are adapted for engagement only in the bent section passageway.

摘要： A cooling apparatus and related method for a continuous casting apparatus includes a series of spray nozzles for spraying a coolant against one surface of a moving chill substrate. The invention apparatus includes an enclosure having vacuum applied thereto for preventing migration of the sprayed coolant from the surface against which it is sprayed to the surface contacting the molten solidifying material. Any coolant having a tendency to escape along sealed edges of the enclosure is forced back into the enclosure by the pressure gradient. The edges are sealed by elongated plastic rods. Additionally, scrapers are provided for removing remanent coolant from the sprayed surface. The coolant is sprayed at a high velocity to increase its heat transferring efficiency.
