摘要: Extendable tubing extension sets are disclosed having a sleeve and a tubing that can move telescopically in a longitudinal direction relative to each other while maintaining the patency of a fluid pathway through the telescopic tubing extension set when the tubing and the sleeve are moved in a direction toward each other to a first configuration, and in a direction away from each other toward a second configuration, and where the tubing is positioned within a tubing lumen of the sleeve and a fluid pathway can extend through any of a fluid passage of the tubing and the tubing lumen of the sleeve.

摘要: A medication delivery module is mounted to a patient care device, and a first graphic representative of the first medication delivery module is displayed on a display screen of the device, wherein the first graphic includes an information display area for display of infusion information associated with the first medication delivery module, and a status indicator for display of status information associated with the medication delivery module. Responsive to the indication, the status indicator is dynamically orienting such that the status indicator is displayed on a side of the first graphic nearest the coupling of the first medication delivery module. Infusion information from the first medication delivery module is displayed within the display area of the first graphic.

摘要: A syringe pump is disclosed that includes a pressure sensor assembly, a plunger, first and second pressure sensors, and a processor. The pressure sensor assembly senses a force and includes the plunger having a sensing surface configured to receive the force, the first pressure sensor operatively coupled to the plunger and configured to estimate the force applied to the sensing surface, and the second pressure sensor operatively coupled to the plunger and configured to estimate the force applied to the sensing surface. The processor is coupled to the first and second pressure sensors to estimate a magnitude of the force.

摘要: An integrated cartridge assembly that is employed with an automated medication administration system in response to the acute medical condition. The cartridge assembly configured to be operatively coupled between a pump assembly and a medical port. The cartridge assembly includes a first cartridge and a second cartridge positioned within a housing. The first cartridge contains a portion of saline, while the second cartridge contains a portion of a medicament. The cartridge assembly also includes a gate member that maintains a separation distance between a manifold assembly and the first and second cartridges when in a locked position when the cartridge assembly is in the stored state. The cartridge assembly is operatively coupled to the medical port via a tube set that is fixedly coupled to the manifold assembly.

摘要: Disclosed are processes and techniques implementable by a drug delivery system to maintain optimal drug delivery for a patient according to a treatment plan. The disclosed techniques enable a new drug delivery device that is exchanged for a previous drug delivery device to operate using analyte-based drug delivery control immediately during initialization instead of having to wait for a warm-up period. For example, a drug delivery device may include a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, operate the drug delivery device to receive a present analyte measurement value from an analyte sensor during an initialization of the drug delivery device, receive backfill values measured by the analyte sensor prior to the initialization, calculate a dosage of a drug using the present analyte measurement value and the backfill values, and deliver the dosage of the drug. Other embodiments are described.

A single-use sensor module has a channel body with a flow channel A flow sensor is used to measure a fluid flow through the flow channel A flow sensor interface is in signal connection with the flow sensor. A reusable housing module of the module assembly serves to accommodate the sensor module. The housing module has at least one electronics unit and an electronics unit interface via which the electronics unit is in signal connection with the flow sensor interface. The housing module has at least two housing sections which enclose the sensor module in a form-fitting manner. This results in an assembly that can be used cost-efficiently.

摘要: A multi-use disinfecting cap and method for disinfection and protection of a needleless IV injection port. The disinfecting cap has an upper chamber which contains a sterilizing solution and a low chamber which connects to a needleless IV injection port. The fluid can be manipulated to flow between the two chambers. When in use the cap protects and disinfects a needleless IV injection port when exposed prior to injecting medication into the needleless port and continues to disinfect and protect prior for any subsequent exposures. The cap is re-usable and provides a clear indication of the disinfecting solution and a datable top surface. The multi-use disinfecting cap may be removably clipped to the IV tubing and is shaped to prevent accidental rolling away if dropped.
