摘要: The present invention provides a lighting system for use within a display sign, wherein the lighting system comprises a first module having a multi-layer circuit board and an arrangement of components electrically connected to the circuit board. The component arrangement includes a driver control chip that provides regulated voltage to the light emitting diodes, at least one surface mounted resistor, and a pair of light emitting diodes wherein each diode is mounted to a longitudinal end portion of the circuit board. Thus, the driver control chip is positioned between the light emitting diodes. The component arrangement further includes a high-frequency capacitor that filters undesired electrical noise and a rectifying diode that converts electrical potential from alternating current to direct current. A second module is electrically connected to the first module by a pair of flexible conductor wires. The second module includes a multi-layer circuit board and an arrangement of components electrically connected to the circuit board. The component arrangement of the second module is similar to that of the first module, wherein a light emitting diode is mounted to each longitudinal end portion of the circuit board.

摘要: The invention provides an elongated lighting fixture with multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) arrayed in two groups that are angled to each other. The fixture provides an extremely broad light emitting angle and includes an elongated housing having a pair of side walls with at least one fin to dissipate heat. Each side wall has a support member extending upward at angle from the side wall, wherein the side walls terminate at a central wall. A generally transparent cover is connected to the housing and extends between opposed ends of the housing. A first elongated fastener and a second elongated fastener are utilized to mount a first group of LEDs and a second group of LEDs to the first support member and the second support member, respectively. First and second interconnection board assemblies are affixed to respective support members beneath the group of LEDs by the first and second fasteners. When the first and second interconnection board assemblies are energized by an internal power source, current travels from each interconnection assembly through the fasteners to each group of LEDs for illumination.

Using a capture device which is able to detect the thickness of a user's arms, legs, torso, etc., the system determines a mass for each of a user's body parts. Thereafter, in one example, the system measures caloric burn for a given body part as a function of how far the body part was displaced, a mass of the body part displaced and gravity.

摘要: A pavement dowel bar assembly is reinforced to maintain the alignment of dowel bars during the paving process. An exemplary dowel bar assembly includes a side frame having at least one bracing member. The bracing member is convertible between a first, stored position and a second, deployed position. When in the first, stored position, the bracing member is generally parallel to a plane defined by the side frame. In the second, deployed position, the bracing member is at an angle relative to the plane of the side frame. The dowel bar assembly may further include a plurality of dowel bars and a second side frame. Also described herein are methods of reinforcing a pavement dowel bar assembly with a convertible bracing member.

摘要: The invention relates to a refrigerated display case with an illuminated support member or “mullion” that efficiently transfers heat generated by at least one light emitting diode (LED) to warm and maintain door seals. The invention further relates to a low-profile, elongated LED light fixture that is retrofitted to the display case mullion to provide efficient illumination. The LED light fixture includes an elongated frame having a central hub extending longitudinally along the frame. A pair of opposed arms extending upwardly at an angle from the central hub, wherein the terminus of each arm has a curvilinear configuration that defines a receiver. At least one leg extends rearward from the central hub. Two legs are spaced a distance apart to define an elongated central cavity that that receives a fastener for securement of the fixture to the vertical support within the display case. A printed circuit board resides within a channel of the central hub and a plurality of LEDs are electrically and mechanically connected to the circuit board. A substantially planar lens cover resides within the receiver for securement to the frame.

摘要: The invention provides a multi-use light fixture that includes a light engine, a rugged housing, and an external power supply removeably embedded within an optional external enclosure. The light fixture includes several novel heat management features designed to reduce the risk of failure and thereby increase the reliability of the light fixture. The light engine includes groups of light modules, each having a light emitting diode (LED) and a zener diode. The housing includes an internal gap defined between the a circuit board and the housing. The housing also includes an arrangement of external fins and vents that dissipate heat generated by the light engine. The lens cover includes a plurality of inlets to supply ambient air into the fixture. During operation, heat is generated by the light modules, namely the LEDs, and then is transferred along a first flow path through a main body portion of the housing and the fins for dissipation to ambient and a second air flow path whereby ambient air flows through the light engine to increase the performance and efficiency of the light engine.

摘要: Golf club heads are releasably engaged with shafts so that the club heads and shafts can be readily interchanged and/or so that the shaft position with respect to the club head can be readily changed. Assemblies for connecting the club head and shaft may include: a shaft adapter, a shaft retainer, and a club head having an interior chamber. The club head and shaft may be changed by releasing the securing system and exchanging the original parts with different parts. Furthermore, the shaft may be bent or otherwise extend at an angle from the shaft adapter so as to allow adjustment of the shaft position with respect to the club head.
