摘要: A combined light and loudspeaker driver device comprising a housing supporting a loudspeaker driver, a heat removal element, electronic components and a light source. The heat removal element includes a column extending along a central longitudinal axis to a base of the housing, to meet a heat sink formed around the central longitudinal axis to the rear of the housing. The light source provides task lighting and is a heat source. It is mounted on a front end of the column distal from the heat sink at the base of the housing, to optimize conduction of heat away from the light source. The housing is generally cup shaped and has side walls. The interior of the side walls is parallel with the central longitudinal axis of the housing over the majority of the rearward depth thereof resulting in a large void behind the loudspeaker diaphragm, leading to improved sound.

摘要: A luminaire includes a light source having a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs), a heat spreader, and a substantially ring-shaped trim plate. The heat spreader is disposed between and in thermal communication with the light source and the trim plate such that the heat spreader facilitates transfer of heat from the LEDs to the trim plate. The trim plate is structurally configured and disposed for dissipating heat generated by the light source. The trim plate has an outer dimension that is larger than: an opening defined by a nominally sized can light fixture; and, an opening defined by a nominally sized electrical junction box.

摘要: The specification and drawings present a new apparatus such as a lighting fixture and a method for replacing a light engine such as a LED light engine in the lighting fixture by replacing one part carrying the light engine, where the heat sink (e.g., extruded elongated heat sink) can be split into two parts, a replaceable part carrying the light engine and a fixed part. Both heat sink parts may be attached together with a clip to allow the unclipping and replacement of the removable part carrying the light engine. The geometry of the two heat sink parts can be designed in such a way that one part can be attached on top of the other, while providing a predefined alignment and continuous thermal conductivity between the two parts. A space between the two parts can be used to place the clip.

摘要: The Underwater Light (LED) of Fixed Tilt Angle 0°-80° degrees for multiple applications with elective Gyro Sensor, which comprises of the fixed Inclined Outer Body (1, 2) with cylindrical internal configuration, the cylindrically shaped Solid Thermally Conductive Inner Core (Head) (3), the Peripheral Metal Coating Layers (4, 5) with embedded Scaled Thermal Conductivity λ of symmetric or non symmetric metal coating thickness of the cylindrically shaped Solid Thermally Conductive Inner Core (Head) (3), due to the fixed inclination 0-80° degrees (17) of the Inclined Outer Body with cylindrical internal configuration, the light beam angle is not affected by vibrations, oscillations or shocks, while at the same time it solves existing problems during night departure bow or stern mooring process, such as the process of approaching to shallow for floating means waters and of course it constitutes a principal or auxiliary safety system in case of overturning thereof. It can contribute to any sea research, tracking and rescue operations, because of the inclined form the outer body but also thanks to the construction properties of the whole unit. It extinguishes navigation nuisance problems caused ordinary fishing lamps, occupying a small volume. The use of the invention relates to floating means (eg speedboats, cruising boats etc.) organized marinas, decorative architectural underwater lighting such as swimming pools, decorative waterfalls, fountains etc where based on the inherent manufacturing advantages thereof it contributes to energy saving, offered by (LED) technology against corresponding energy intensive lighting systems.

摘要: A radiation distribution system designed to produce a batwing distribution. The system may be used with radiative sources emitting in the visible spectrum or in other spectra. The system comprises a specially shaped lens disposed over a radiative source, such as an LED, for example. The lens and source are arranged between two reflector bodies, both of which have an elongated reflective surface that faces the source. The reflector bodies each have two different reflective surfaces that face outward and away from each other. The lens and both reflective surfaces work in concert to redirect a portion of the emitted radiation to create the desired batwing distribution. Several sources may be arranged linearly between a single pair of reflector bodies on a common surface to create a linear array of sources. Likewise, multiple linear arrays may be combined to form a two-dimensional array. In the two-dimensional configuration, linear arrays of sources are disposed on both sides of a reflector body, so that both of the reflective surfaces are utilized.

摘要: A modular luminaire which uses LED light sources. The basic frame comprises two end pieces compressed together by through bolts. At least one elongated heat sink is compressed between the end pieces. Each heat sink may bear a plurality of LEDs mounted on a printed circuit board which may have an integral metallic backplate, and is installed on one of the heat sinks with a layer of heat conductive grease therebetween. The heat sinks have fins projecting in three directions, the fourth direction being accounted for by the LEDs, and are rotatable about their longitudinal axes to adjust direction of light propagation. The heat sinks are arrayed in an arc, so that the outside heat sinks shield observers from direct glare from opposed heat sinks. Heat sinks may be extruded to form cooling fins and slots which may receive fasteners such as screws.

摘要: An LES is a surface from which light emanates from a lighting fixture. The present disclosure relates to a providing a lighting fixture that has an actual light emitting surface (A-LES), which is substantially smaller than the maximum potential LES (M-LES) for the lighting fixture. The M-LES is defined as the theoretical maximum LES for the mounting structure of the lighting fixture, and the A-LES is defined as the actual LES of the lighting fixture, as dictated by the lens or optical structures of the lighting fixture. The A-LES may provide an LES that is not only smaller, but also shaped differently, from the M-LES, to help control the light output of the lighting fixture based on the lighting application.
